Yet another claim that i apparently made but didnt actually.
Im fully aware that Champ won at Aintree. Staying that trip at aintree does not mean he has proven that he stays the same trip at Cheltenham.
 
can we discuss something else now? this topics getting very repetitive and boringgg :encouragement:

Both races Champ was travelling all over the winner but found nil up the hill.

Although its only 2 races its all the evidence we have. Champ would have traded heavy odds on in both races but found nil.

As for vindication being a graded horse that didnt happen til about 22 months and was over fences long after the champ race. He was never a graded hurdler, champ was.
More races on testing tracks would give us stronger evidencr but the 2 races is all we have to go on and it strongly suggests the horse is a flat track bully as they say.

I find it interesting that you ignored my post disputing the ‘Champ finds nothing up hills’ argument. I posted facts. And received no reply.

I havent said anything about the horse not staying. Its a fact he is unproven over the RSA trip. Thats not an opinion its a fact. It doesnt mean he wont stay jist that he hasnt proven that he will yet.

At no point have I said he wont stay any trip for that matter. I say a hill blunts his finishing speed. As it stands on evidence thats fact.

Tizzard says Slate House almost certain to run in RSA. Reynoldstown next race although they will look at Cotswold Chase in view of his love for Cheltenham.

FFS, no wonder their horses, as a group, generally underperform at the Festival, they leave nothing left in the tank!

Whilst we all love the festival, there is a whole season of racing and some trainers and owners don't want to sit on horses just for one day. Trainers get vilified for wrapping horses in cotton wool and others for going to the well too often. It's difficult to strike the right balance and keep everyone happy, especially when us, as punters, have no involvement in the decision making, nor do we know each trainer and owners objective for the season.

JM, agree with you wholeheartedly. Just waiting for the Tizzard hand-ringing exercise in March when they can’t understand why some of their most fancied horses have just run a flat race at the Fez. :concern:

My quote was just expressing forward frustration for them in 10 weeks time. :highly_amused:
