Albert Bartlett 2020

Looking forward to seeing Thyme Hill again tomorrow. 2m5f going to be a right old slog and should he win well I will be topping up at 25/1 as he crosses the line.

Think Tizzards horse will win comfortably. Was really taken by him in the paddock at Cheltenham. He looked a proper star of the future. He'll make a top chaser.

Races are won on the track, not in the paddock, otherwise Henderson’s ‘Sexy’ mares would win everything :highly_amused:

In all seriousness though, it’s quite a deep race tomorrow so if anything wins well it will be something to sit up and take note of. The only caveat is the ground as it could skew some results this weekend.

I still think Thyme hill will be going Ballymore myself, As tempting as getting a bet on for the A.B was.
I've decided to leave it , If thyme hill wins today it will surely point them to the Ballymore hdl.
If he loses and then look's like A,b . would imagine the price would ease out .
So a watching brief for today. ( although he's in my L.15 today.):)

Id probably say there’s a fair chance the opposite Chang- if he wins this he’ll probably have proven he’s a dour dour stayer so early in the season over 2m5 on the likely ground?

Yeah , Fair point Jack . I'm going to have to wait and see now anyhow.

paddy's still going 25's for Thyme Hill. so took that as well

Hopefully, they don’t continue down the Fingal Bay route.

Was quite impressed by that. Stamped his authority at the end and clearly has a liking for the track. Nice to be on.

challow next he's said, and likely further in time.

on normak cheltenham ground he'll come here.
if ground very soft they could consider the ballymore.
Looks the best uk novice hurdler we've seen so far.

last three lines IMO, not what he said.

This is what I love and loath about AP betting at Cheltenham, I’ve got him in this race for the festival so it’ll be squeaky bum time from now to March

Cheltenham Bumper form looking quite hot for once.

....re Thyme Hill, Hobbs quoted after today’s victory;

“The obvious race for him is the Challow Hurdle. We won’t be going back in trip, we might go up in trip. Stamina is his forte”.

That was impressive by Thyme Hill, I cant recall a horse dominating the preparation races for the AB like Thyme Hill has and he may well end up the genuine favourite on the day if he can get there fit

Big Getaway (I'll post it here).

Mullins, “He’s a chaser in the making. I’d imagine we’ll go hurdling with him now and probably chasing next year.

“Patrick thought an extra half mile would be no problem and softer ground no problem. He looks a really nice type.

“He’s probably as big as Douvan, maybe even bigger. We’re going to remeasure him on Monday to find out and he’s certainly one of the biggest horses I’ve had anything to do with.

“Patrick said he just gallops all day. I’m told that is Patrick’s 600th winner.”

QUOTES: THE BIG GETAWAY is a chaser in the making and I imagine we'll go straight on over hurdles. He's as big a horse as I've ever had. He just gallops all day and probably wants softer ground - Willie Mullins, trainer.

Midnight Run done that very nicely. Was a little big over his hurdles but he’s got some engine on him!
