I think I'm going to miss the Friday this year of Down Royal, shame as has been a day Gordy unleashes some potential Chelt ammunition, and has been tradition for many years to attend, but due to moving house, on top of that my eldest has started primary school and I'm on pick ups! it's gunna be tricky! I hope to make the Saturday, due to football commitments I usually can't go, last year was my first as convinced my football team to take a free week, really glad i went loved watching Envoi Allen win. So have requested the club take it again and make a Jolly boys outing out of it. If Gerri Colmbe is declared I will definitely be there!
Who do ya play for B.B?
Local "pub team" OTL. Full of mates just enjoy kick about on a Saturday. For other members on here probably Sunday league football standard but do have players who are half decent who could easily play higher or have done and just seeing out last few years. Comber Young Men. Whereabouts you from? You heard of us? Ha
Looking at going to Kempton on Boxing Day, would others that have been before recommend it or is it too busy and one of those better watched on tv?

I used to go every year, have to say it was quite a while ago, and like BC I think it's busy but manageable.
The one thing I would say is that if you're driving then it's worth finding somewhere to park on the roads outside the course - if you park in the middle of the course be prepared for quite a queue to get out again! :encouragement:
Haydock - Betfair Chase?
Three of us heading up from Dublin for tomorrows meeting @Big Bucks, first trip to the track, can’t wait.Anyone for Down Royal? atm im only attending the Saturday this year. But if Brighterdaysahead declares for Friday I might have to rearrange a few things and make my way to it, as want to see her over a fence.
Yeah a good day out @Big Bucks, Envoi Allen was the cherry on top despite not carrying my money, the track definitely favours positive front running tactics.I hope you had a good one @SeanRock what a day. Only downside was the bar staff, set up, took far too long for a beer. But great days racing and atmosphere. Excuse my French from earlier, bit Envoi is very special, and just made it more emotionall with Henry just grinning war to ear.
