Weather Watch 2026

What's the Saturday/Sunday weather been like around Cheltenham? Apart from Some rain coming in late Monday the rest of the week looks dry. I respect that any rain will keep it soft due to the well documented high water level but a few days of no rain and we're heading back to good to soft. Hard to call at the moment.

Was quite wet yesterday, but nice and sunny today. Not much wet stuff forecast next week either so should hopefully dry it out nicely...

Think there’a a dumping Monday night but nothing of note after….

7/4 on soft with Ladbrokes & 16/1 (now 8/1) with Paddy P as the best ‘cover’ bet at a double figure price you’ll possibly ever get, is an exceptionally good play to profit before the 1st flag even go’s down at 1.30 on that Tuesday.

What's now 8's? Heavy?

I had to look Lobos, 8s is heavy on PP, so basically backing heavy and soft, and taking good to soft out of equation. Looks that’s taking a big chance to me

I’m 15 miles or so away and here fishing til festival, so can update

Sun out and lovely warm day here now …,v light breeze ….but should help Fri after several cold & wet days before

How's the Fishing going Tiger ?.

Did they not get any snow yesterday???

Ok, I'm a weather anorak but only for the Festival. Looking like tomorrow's rain could be crucial. If it's a deluge then it affects things greatly but if it's just steady rain for a few hours that's just what ground needs anyhow. The course hasn't had that much rain this last 2 weeks.

These following dry days must be music to the Clerk's ears, allowing him hopefully no need to water. At the moment my bet would be good to soft on the Tuesday but I'd be swayed once we see what tomorrow night brings.

First one today ….38-8 ….nice fish

Not good weather for fishing sadly, tho today better

lots time to watch previews :excitement:

Lovely :encouragement: ... Mirror ?., I wish you Luck and hope you get some more . :cheerful:.

Frozen start to the day with sunshine til about midday, then the wind picked up a fair bit from then till the end of the day, I’d say that was a very good drying day for the track :watermelon:

Looks like yesterday's rain wasn't that extensive, unless any of you locals know otherwise. Hope for Galvin and Banbridge backers now looking at this forecast.

Hopefully one of the journos could put a mic to the Clerk today for a view, a week out. Haven't heard from him since early last week.
