Yep all those that seem certain that we are starting on soft and banking on Banbridge and co being non runners need to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles id say :glee:

Could still happen but I wouldn’t be confident.

A lot of media were very matter of fact that it would be soft as well, very soft, over the last fortnight. Might well be so, but I found their 'certainty' all a bit grating to be honest. Still, I'd like the Clerk to be providing daily updates from 2 weeks in. Is that too much to ask in this day and age?

Yes it seems recency bias doesn’t just apply to horses. Would be great to hear from the clerk as you say although part of me wants to let the softies distort the market. Where’s the green goddess???

For the most part I’m fairly ambivalent to the ground for most of my horses but for a few select ones it’s very important. ATM id say it’s a close call and the week itself could play the biggest part.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't at least soft based on their own comments so far, which make it sound like winter down South hasn't been too dissimilar to up here. It's completely normal to have floods a couple of times a year where I am but the frequency of it this year has been ridiculous, constant yo-yoing, it'd barely just receeded before it flooded again. The ground has been so saturated that any 'normal' amount of rain anywhere at all upstream causes problems, we've basically spent all winter on the brink of 'once in a lifetime' floods (again...). In my completely unqualified opinion I wouldn't underestimate how little rain is likely required to tip it back the other way if somehow it gets within range of the words 'good to'.

Few years back, one of them bans in Ireland were in and everyone was going mad no water to be got. 125e fines handed out for breaching the ban.

lo and behold spotted were 2 council workers on a cherry picker power washing the 100ft holy cross that sits in the phoenix park. Reason being according to the city council the pope was on his way to visit soon and it needed a wash. Just in case he climbed up it and found it was dusty and thought we were all dirty fuckers.

went viral anyway, the average Joe said F this and began washing the car and filling the Aldi pool.

good case of lead by example

There is very little rain forecast in the next week, possibly showers on Saturday

If the forecast is correct it will be G/S Good in places by Tuesday

Yes, I have to agree for the main course, but that cross country course looks beyond repair. A week ahead my guess would be Galvin stays at home but Banbridge takes his place.

It was completely under water a week ago. No grass could be seen apparently.
 
Starting on Soft looks very, very likely doesn't it.
 
For tracking purposes if I remember to update:

Tuesday 5th March 1430: Old 3.6, New 4.0, XC 2.9
Thursday 7th March 0900: Old 4.6, New 4.9
Friday 8th March 1530: XC 4.4
Saturday 9th March 1230: Old 5.6, New 5.7
