Le Breuil has three entries on Saturday (1 hurdles and 2 chases) , so it may be that his connections are considering his Grand National prep could be away from Cheltenham.
 
Kildisart now clipped in to a best price 20/1

That 33/1 was a silly over reaction :)
 
Whats the verdict on Kildisarts potential weight ? We talking like 11-5 to 11-8 or something ?
 
I added Know the Score for this and the Kim Muir at the weekend .
Purely on the basis that Pipey had the Ultima winner 2 years in a row recently.

Mister Malarky up 4 to 151. Think 14/1 with Betfair is very fair.
 
Will need decent ground for Mister Malarky or that 14/1 might look pretty low, hes a bet id probably wait with as cant see him being that much shorter when you have a better idea nearer the decs.

He was one of my big antepost bets for this along with kildisart, but that 4lbs would now make me think twice about backing him, some them horses behind him at the weekend were running for a better mark, in my opinion on their aintree run, he"s got very little chance of finishing ahead of kildi in this..could be my wallet bemoaning his win and 4lbs though...��
 
Just in process of re-watching all races for things missed

BIG RIVER might be interesting for this, or Kim Muir......finished well to be 4th in this last year after lots early errors (first run at Cheltenham so poss excusable)....25s for both NRNB

On similar mark as last year.....and was well fancied at November meeting when PU, but since come back to form

Flew home last year.

If it was soft/heavy he would have a big shout, but he seems to get outpaced over 3 miles when the ground is better.
 
Big River reminds me of Buywise.
Will always be running on well at the end having been outpaced and outjumped.
Not out of it though and if near enough could pop up.

I was a little reluctant to rule him out, but 6.5L behind the winner last year and 1 lb higher this time doesn't strike me as a win chance (at 10 years old).

As a direct comparison, Lake View Lad was 3rd (so ahead of Big River) and is 1 lb better off this time, for being only 3.25L behind, and he's a bigger price too (although not NRNB)

I have done both as love festival form.....specially for EW bets

It was the early mistakes on first visit to Cheltenham that suggested he might be several lengths better this time around.....not sure a winner, but can see both in it
 
Ah fair enough.

IMO he'll probably be 33/1+ on the day and potentially with more prices, so I'll hold on for now.

He won't get 'well backed' I wouldn't have though, given his profile and connections (all the better for us)
