Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

Seen Malone Road mentioned a few times on those " five to follow " pieces on r.t.v & a.t.r etc..

Malone and Envoi did a gallop after racing last week and from what I've read Malone was particularly impressive.

For any of those interested it bet stars still 16s on malone road in this race

Pity Malone road doesn’t have an entry at down royal
This weekend was looking forward to seeing it 😞

Mt Leinster isn't going to be any where near the boat for Cheltenham.

Are we in danger of over rating Malone Road for impressive performances in what was definitely a weak division last year due to THE main player, not playing?

Good to see Andy Dufresne entered up.

Don’t expect to see him vs Envoi Allen but always good to confirm they are close

As for Malone Road it’s always easy to critique any bumper horse for the Supreme.

If they are a top top bumper horse then they will need further, if they have a couple of wall overs then they have beat nothing.

Mt Leinster might not be the weapon that Mullins hoped, but the third still has a win against their name, and the race before isn’t terrible having smashed Valdieu and Bucks Billionsaore. No worse than anyone else near the top of the market

Doesn't make it a good price though, and he's in pretty much every book I can see (mine included).

We've just not got any others to talk about yet so they get higher on the market than they should?

It is easy to criticise, but that is what we have to do?

If you go back exactly 12 months Annamix was 10/1 for the Supreme.

Malone Road atleast has a bit of substance to back the hype, when typically supreme favourites are pure hype at this point

Not sure whether to read into the fly smart comments or not from Kevin Blake

In reply to 'no mention of fly smart'

Indeed there isn’t! Didn’t see him there and he wasn’t mentioned at any stage.

Just spotted yeah - hopefully someone digs into how bad an injury...

Gone back in on Jon Snow, fairly bullish from WPM. Grade 1 Novice Hurdler is the hope.

There are a few missing off the list. There could be a part 3 of the stable tour.

A fair point.

Then again, if all we needed to do was find horses that are better value than Annamix was we'd be backing every horse priced up.

Fingers crossed Malone Road can hurdle though, no denying he's exciting.

Rumour on the street is Malone Rd isn't in his box at the moment, and hurt his same knee again last week. We shall see of course, but he was pencilled to run this weekend.. Very reliable source generally too.
