Cheltenham Handicap Shortlists

Glenloe back out over 2m 5f tomorrow on route to the.....fill in the blank.....

Yep! Lovely timing should see them able to get the third and final run into him before the festival and lining up a short price fav for the Kim Muir

A 3rd run over what I'd consider an inadequate trip....

Music to my ears ... or eyes, when it happens

Keeping an eye on a couple of potentially underrated Skeleton runners tomorrow...

County Hurdle: Betameche
Martin Pipe: Not That Fuisse

Exactly what I expected and wanted there.

Could have jumped better (Glenloe) but I'm happy

Ideal run from Glenloe though, Topped up on him once again.

Once the market latches on he'll be single figures. Squouater went off 5/1Fav in the last 2 renewals of the Kim Muir. Expect Glenloe to be no bigger on the day, likely a little shorter

Also added a Derek O'Connor trixie :

Ok Corral 4 Miler
Glenloe Kim Muir
Stand Up and Fight Foxhunter

You like the green and gold as much as I do Jono :p

I like that Jono, on a similar theme I’ve just added a Gordy handicap EW trixie...

His jumping wasn’t great........

It wasn't but he'll run once more before Cheltenham, hopefully over 2.5 miles. There'll be a huge improvement in march when stepped up in trip. My worry is that it's almost too obvious.

Yes another eyecatching run from Glenloe. Executing the plan pretty well so far!

Lets hope Glenloe improves his jumping big time.

Is Glenloe definetly Kim Muir bound? Ive him backed for the Nat Hunt Chase

Personally think the only way he goes for the NHC is if they cannot get a third and final chase run into him in time but with 6 and a bit weeks to go I can't see that not happening.

If he gets rated too high for the Kim Muir (think he will get in) then I'd assume Ultima then myself

If Glenloe had another entry and gets declared I'll cash out for the NH chase

Im toying with cashing out myself. With Ok Corral as NH Chase fav, you'd fancy JP would fancy taking Glenloe somewhere else? Just worried that the English handicapper will have a keen eye on him.

I'm sure I will be cashing out but I can't quite bring myself to do so yet. 40/1 was a pretty wild price for him for the 4 miler (albeit on the face of it he hasn't shown form to get you rushing for a race outside a handicap)

IF they meet a setback or somehow can't get another run into him, he has no entry in the RSA/JLT etc. Won't get in any handicap. Perhaps revert back to a hurdle handicap but otherwise they have no option bar missing the festival.

Think it's worth holding out personally. He's already 20/1 with b365 and zero chance he goes to a price where they don't offer full cashout

One question - Can he get a handicap mark if he has another run but doesn't complete? i.e falls?
