Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

Rumour on the street is Malone Rd isn't in his box at the moment, and hurt his same knee again last week. We shall see of course, but he was pencilled to run this weekend.. Very reliable source generally too.

Yes unfortunately heard something similar today that there is something up with him but no more details than that yet.

Fingers crossed it’s just a rumour or something small!

No bookmaker or exchange moves, and not an awful lot on Twitter either yet.

That'll be a shame.

Hope this isn’t true, be such a shame on the horse given his reputation!

Envoi 25’s at present.

Talk was he could run in either, Elliott has Andy d and abacadabras near the top of the betting so could see a big plummet on envoi should any news break.

The supreme isn't more important that the ballymore.

If Envoi Allen is top of the pecking order, they aren't going to reroute him no matter what

FWIW, when I was down at Elliot’s Noble Endeavour was leaving his stable as he was out for the season, yet others were still kept in that had had smaller setbacks, one being BOD! Hopefully though he’s just out for a few months and Is back after Xmas if it’s true..

Have added Andy Dufresne at 25/1 for this. He was the one other bumper horse outside the 2 Chevely Park runners that I had wanted to back going into the season. Elliott said he was as good as anything they ran in bumpers last year. He's also been spoken about in the same group as those 2 horses in interviews so far this season. JP (and Elliott) will have plenty of options but I'll take cashout now with a run imminent and slight rumours regarding Malone Roads wellbeing

Had a Mare when Draconien was ruled out. 40-1 slip that was.
Have BOD in a double so wouldn’t want any negative news there.
If you add Malone Rd to that.....well.

Eh? You heard Battleoverdoyen has had a setback?

You could read it that way Charlie
But think he meant before he ran

Sorry Charlie yep I forgot to include that was 2/3 years back, but just an example that if he’s out of his box and it’s being used again *which is what I’ve heard* you’d think it’s worse than just a slight setback...but Fingers crossed it’s wrong

Going to copy that.
Was probably my favourite Bumper performance from last year also.
The Malone road thing was putting me off, but might as well cover like you said.

reply to jono's post re- andy dufresne

On gordon elliotts stable tour , he mention's running Andy Dufresne in the same race ,.
that Aramon ran in / won ? last year - grade 1. at naas ?.

Cancel that!! , Sorry Jono , he was talking about Abacadabras !.

Source on Twitter who is reliable, Michael Looby responded to someone:

“@michaellooby2 have you heard anything about malone Road being injured?
“Yeah at Fairy-house last week.”
“Know the severity?”
“No,think got the knock on same leg but dunno is it minor or worse than that”

Fingers crossed it’s only minor, hopefully Gordon will say something today/tomorrow

The problem is, if Gordon does say something, it’s going to be very tight to cash out in time.
