Supreme Novices 2018

Altior didn't win the Tolworth Doc, it was Yorkhill the year Altior was a novice.

I don't like the Hendo horse for the Supreme. Just something about him says he won't relish the hill and a truly run Supreme. I have been spectacularly wrong before though :sorrow:

I'm taking a look at the Joseph O Brien runner at the moment. Won his maiden lovely, and is a £220k son of Beneficial. Proper NH horse, proper money, and won well. He might be the springer we are all waiting for. Speak Easy is his name.

Might be one for the Balllymore too but with that renewal looking hot, Supreme would make sense and I haven't seen anything of JPs setting the world alight.

If this fella wins a decent race next (may skip the Tolworthh, I'd start to believe.

EDIT sod it im in NRNB at 33/1 with Sky

The other horse I like, who Brian Ellison calls a machine is Ravenhill Road

The only issue is Ellison said he wasn't sure if he is more of an Aintree horse for this season with a view to chasing next year.

He is a likely runner against samcro, next destination, Carter McKay. At naas.
But tbf plans change and 33/1 nrnb is a good shout.

I was looking for some info on him earlier today as backed him any race earlier in the season. Dissapointed to hear he might be skipping the Festival but understand the thinking

I noticed Espoir D'allen was shortened a lot after future champions race at Leopardstown. Nicky has said today that Apples Shakira will probably go to Trials day, therefore I read that as the Triumph being her more likely race than the Mares Novices. If thats the case, what are the chances Espoir D'allen turns up here? And if he does what are his chances with the allowance?

He'd be over further wouldn't he rather than here?

Ellisons last interview said he was aiming him at 2m 3f over Christmas and that would tell him more about the trip.

He is adamant he's a good ground horse though and doesn't want to run him on a bog. That bodes well for spring festivals at least, whichever one he shows up at.

Unlikely he will go here . Hard to judge his chances but I would have a good guess that mitchouka would get knowhere near the supreme. Never a fan of juveniles being stepped up this early against more experienced and physically stronger horses The horses they are running against are a much smaller pool. Very hard to gauge

Not sure if claimantakinforgan runs. I'd assume rightly or wrongly poss not.

Not particularly for the supreme/ ballymore. although I did look on the exchange hoping for a huge price (he's not listed) I quite like Mont des avaloirs in the tolworth whether he's good enough to trouble western Ryder for the win I'm not sure but hes consistent and going the right way. His bumper run when beating the well regarded tizzard horse was good, and he was going to beat kilbricken storm all be it at a trip on the sharp side very easily
One to watch, Poss with a view to the martin pipe.

I have him e/way in the Al bartlett at 33-1. Only race i had seen him quoted for, but only small bet.

Ravenhill Road is entered in the 2m 1f novice hurdle at Doncaster on the 9th, he was very impressive on his debut over hurdles alright, I read a quote from Brian Ellison afterwards talking about stepping him up in distance so interesting if he is declared for this race. Definitely one to keep an eye on anyway he traveled and jumped for fun last time out.

Debuchet still a player here after his run on Boxing Day?

Watched a re-run and looked like he needed the run.

Anyone hear any quotes from the Trainer?

Im hoping he's still a player Innoko. Watching the entries with interest.

As for the Tolworth, I'm hoping claimintakinforgan isnt declared as the supreme stats are awful for this race. Happy to sidestep this race.

I hope Claimantakinforgan does run. Let's see if he's good enough to win the Tolworth and therefore would have a decent chance to finish in the top 3 in the Supreme. The supreme stats for the Tolworth winner might be poor but maybe he can buck the trend!

Claimin doesn't go Tolworth but Western Ryder does....

Henderson stated that he was reluctant to run his talented novice on heavy.

The we have a dream gamble is complete bookmaker pr nonsense that people seem to falling for. The only way he goes tolworth is if chepstow gets abandoned. It makes no sense what so ever to go tolworth over chepstow. Yet just because claimantakinforgan dosent go (which id be assuming he never was) people seem to be backing We have a dream

Yeah just seen the betting for the race. Do you think Western Ryder will enhance his claims ?
