Ryanair Chase 2018

Another good win for Bachasson. I wonder if they'll go here?!

Liked what I saw with Bachasson today, future target might be a conundrum. Am i right in saying he owned by same guy who owns UDS?

Yeah, they don't have many horses either.

PP NRNB and Yorkhill interests me at 7/2.

I'm surprised as I expect him to be closer to 7/4.

Just weighing things up but potentially a Min/Yorkhill NRNN double on CC/Ryanair and Ryanair/CC

I would expect Paddys to not offer that just yet...

Others of interest would be Benie Des Dieux 14/1 and Coney Island 10/1 NRNB.

Bet365 go 4/1 Yorkhill NRNB, that'll do me.

I took that too. :encouragement:

I don't want to tie huge amounts up in NRNB at this stage of the year...and there aren't any HUGE errors tht I can see...

Little left-field, but ANY chance having won the Ryanair, they give UDS another crack at the CC and have Bachasson here?

PRobably not as I don't think the owners have much sway but "two days out" instead of one?

If ground proper soft ground think its very possible , if not Bachasson will mop up some little race in Ireland either side of Cheltenham

I always forget horses might not run :highly_amused:

Soft/HEavy ground I'd be walloping UDS - I love him and think he's unbeatable over 2m /2m4f in heavy going.

Soft ground of any description and un de sceaux will be running on the Wednesday.

Haven't heard Top Notch mentioned on this thread for a while, are people dismissing his Peterborough Chase performance ?
If I'm honest I'm slightly surprised not more is being made of his chances after Double Shuffle's Boxing Day exploits....

He's the one I like most at the moment Ista.

It's just odd he's not entered discussion FM.
Usually the Christmas period is when horses stamp their credentials on a race but I don't think anything has put in a performance of such magnitude in the past week or so that horses who haven't run in that period can get forgotten....

I think since he got less than double figures he's gone under the radar.

I'm very happy to have him and although Yorkhill probably just holds him on last years novice form ... kicking him out of the 3 won't be easy and yorkhill is far from certain to run and still be ahead

UDS deserves to be favourite, given his performance last season and his continued form this year.

Top Notch got a good mention on here a while back, after his chase win at Ascot, and nothing I've seen in Britain or Ireland has impressed me more this season, over the intermediate trip.

Not a view I share Kev, Ruby was cleverer than Jacob and that's not a match up certain to happen again come March and as you say Yorkhill could end up in several other races, the second last did for Top Notch and I'm convinced getting tight and losing momentum was worth more than the length he lost by.
So, if no Yorkhill and no Ruby surely TN has to go close ?
We still have Jacob to worry about though....

After rewatching, I'd like to know does anyone trust the Lexus form? If so Balk Des Flos would look like a knocking bet for this at 16/1, but his efforts earlier in the season over the trip just put me off. I'd say he's more or less guaranteed to line up, given his connections, and its highly likely he has a preference for better ground, explaining his early season performances.

If he ran to his best level of form, I can't help but feel he'd find one better like Sub Lieutenant last year. Seems like I've talked myself out of it, of course he'll go and win now. :sorrow:

It's a big worry.I've paid to find out though, have Top Notch at 29.0 on the exchange and 16s each way and won't cash out.

Feel one will be better than him in the day but until I know the field I won't be bold.

I also love UDS so unlikely to be a 1 dart race for me.
