AJ’s run style is what Laurina needs in a CH IMO. Don’t see why Willie should switch now particularly as he already has the defending champ as a penalty kick for the Mares.

Here's the quote. He does say at the end having spoken to Michael. So it would appear they are all on the same page

Have to say I was a doubter of her over 2 miles but yesterday has turned that around. Still think Buveur D'Air will be a tough horse to crack but...

Incredible race in store

that's a really good shout
anyone sees thia angle the 11/4 BDD Sky NRNB is massive.

Who will start fav?

Anyone want to hazard a guess at starting prices if they all turn up?

AJ 11/8
BD 13/8
Laurina 5/1
10/1 bar

That was my view having just checked the prices. Huge isn't it??? What's the catch? Mullins has repeatedly said BdD is ok and just waiting on ground. Would not worry me one bit if she went straight there

Great call Morley.

had a good chat with kev about it in the past few weeks a couple of times and it's stuck out for me for a while.
Just the laurina question now, but willie has nothing else really.
it might be the owners now saying mares funnily enough :highly_amused:
If I owned Laurina now, and her having had just that one run, I'd be saying lets go mares. tough ask now to beat those two

Don't see why plans should change.

BDD defends her Mares crown and Laurina goes for this. Some race, and just what the CH has needed!

It makes the Laurina decision and easy one in my mind. I'm sure they'll go mares race now

Betfair have already pushed Laurina out to 6/1.

It's all about BDD, if she is fit and 100% then she's odds on for the mares. While ever that;s the case then we may well see Laurina in the Champion.
Willie got nothing to lose then as he's warned all along that it's a tough ask.

Common sense prevails, well done Gordon and his team.

Cannot wait for this now, haven't really got much betting interest in it as ive missed out in the main but the race should be a spectacle.

Apple's Jade rating was 162 before yesterday.
What's your best guess they give her now
I'd say around 168 (+7)

Yeah, high 160's. It's going to take some performance to beat her if she turns up in that form

All angles covered,Buveur,Apples,Laurina,Melon.....I suppose that's the way to make profit in this game, ante post anyway,I just watch the racing for fun and bet who I think will win,one horse in one race and get satisfaction if I've picked the winner.Thats ok ante post covering all these horses to make a profit but how do you play it day to day Kev.

I don't know what you're asking me?

You once asked me if I consider myself a mug punter, since 2015 I am £15,224.49 in profit...

I have no issue whatsoever with people doing things differently to me, my approach to Cheltenham isn't for everybody, but you seem to imply that because I back more than one horse in a race that I wouldn't have an opinion, or would struggle to get enjoyment out of it.

I think you'd struggle to enjoy this sport more than I do, I passionately post on this forum because I love it.

I don't know what you want from me?

Boom! Makes that 1.5 points at 7/1 NRNB AJ for this look half decent now.

Only placed the bet expecting it to be coming back when she went Mares. A pleasant brucey bonus that she runs.
