If AJ confirms for the CH then it would be absolutely legitimate excuse to go for the mares and avoid both BD and AJ with just one walkover under her belt as a prep.

BDD could step aside and she'd be long odds on.

Only thing saying no is Willie has nothing for the champion. And he might fancy a stab at it.

So i reckon the above may be the only way.

On the flip side of that, why have a mares hurdle if the best mares aren't going to run in it.

I say they should just scrap the mares race:devilish:
 
Been reflecting on the O'leary's comments about.
Geldings can't run in the mares race.

That's about as 'Irish' as it gets.

If they're not careful Jim Davidson will be able to make another comeback.

Actually want Laurina to have just BD and the usual to beat so I'm not bothered too much.
But she just won the Irish Champion Hurdle by a street.

The only hope now is that none of the big 4 get injured so we see at least two good match ups on the tuesday.

Its no secret on here that I think BD will get turned over in this race. Ive just seen a performance from AJ that confirms that if she ran here she would take all the beating. I love this horse. Utter madness not going for this race.

Glad I hadn't got too heavily involved in either this or the Mares yet. Really hoping Laurina gets switched now that would be fantastic!

Financially Laurina winning mares and Apples Jade champion would be useful.
But I'd kinda like to see the race myself.
 
Those Apples Jade CH, Laurina Mares vouchers look lovely. The Mares is more her trip and would be a penalty kick so surely Willie aims her that way now
 
Pretty sure Gordon said whatever decision Michael decides will probably go.....hasn't he said Mares all season?

Be interesting if Gordon can persuade him.
