Champion Bumper 2020

....odds cut for both Farouk and Fire Attack. After race comments will be interesting.

7/4?? Why the drift? Any quotes after race?

“He’s a raw horse and one for the future. He’ll have an entry for Cheltenham but it would have to come up soft for him to go. He’s a fair horse and two and a half miles will be right up his street." Gordon Elliott - Farouk D'alene.

Anything on Fire Attack? Thought he ran a nice race too.

Good performances by the first 3 in the bumper today but cant see them troubling the judge in the Champion Bumper if they travel

I'm still very hopeful on Darling Daughter. O'Leary also has come out now and also confirmed this is the target. Could very well be the only Gigginstown and Elliot entry!

Trying to pick holes in Appreciate it is tricky and you need to go down as far as Watergate Lady to find a trend through to Darling Daughter (and also find a horse who ran again from Christmas!)

Watergate Lady was beaten by Politesse pretty easily in Thurles last week who Darling Daughter beat into second the at the Dublin Racing festival. Now Appreciate it also beat Watergate Lady pretty handily but I wouldn't say a huge difference in the margins. You could also argue his first bumper performance was average at best (with two Elliot horses in front).

I'm also not totallyconvinced on his win at the Dublin Racing Festival although visually very impressive. Not much has emerged from those in behind. At ten times the price and with the mares allowance I'm very happy to take 20s on DD :)

....perhaps the winner doesn’t come from Ireland. I’ve had a little interest in Skelton’s Third Time Lucki for which this is a definite target and has been supported in recent weeks.

Very true and apologies! I don't mean to dismiss the home chances. Above is very much from an Irish slant and I wouldn't put anyone off another bet from elsewhere.

I backed Politesse that day that Darling Daughter beat her. Not sure whether beating Politesse is good enough really, but certainly a worth considering!

FWIW, i wouldn't be confident Risk Factor is much use. He's beaten a hyped giggy horse that then was smashed by another Fowler mare.

Politesse was having her first run since Punchestown so she was entitled to run how she did- if they met again i would be siding with her over Darling Daughter. Beaten by Blazing Emily + Russian Diamond..

Clearly they think she's useful throwing her in a bumper lke that at Punchestown. She won't come here, but if she heads to Aintree i'll be interested!

Anyone got a link to bumper entries.
ATR seem to know what they are.

No risk factor
power of pause
eric bloodaxe

only joseph entry is fire attack.
Glancing Queen entered.

What's the latest on The Glancing Queen?

A reproduction of last year's fifth might be good enough.

Glancing Queen entered here but not in mares novice, if she runs ill have to back her ew

Queens Brook 25-1 PP NRNB is a big price for anyone not on her.
Looked a very good mare at Gowran Park

Darling Daughter also 25-1 PP,

and also way too big a price.
think they are asleep.
