Champion Bumper 2020

Bits of red for appreciate it - lads/coral pushed out to 2's, is everything OK with him?

I'm sure they're just trying to get him in the book.

Going 2/1 from 7/4 isn't exactly a huge push - they probably decided that want to get him in the book so gone joint industry best price?

Can't say I blame them, backing 2/1 favs in the bumper can't be a long term strategy to success.

"Eskylane who won in Navan might run too"
From report on Gordons day in yesterdays RP

:encouragement: Oh good.

It is important to remember that whatever they say in these media days isn't necessarily how things will end up isn't it!

From same report however it's surely very significant that the only confirmed bumper horse for Elliot so far is Darling Daughter?

Appreciate Gigginstown is a negative however was going away at the finish at the Dublin festival and will receive a weight allowance. I think 20s is a great price at the moment especially as the field looks to be cutting up quite a bit

Farouk D’Alene is going as well

I thought the quote regarding Farouk was that would only go if soft. Read it yesterday so may have that wrong

Small but very high quality Bumper potentially at Naas on Sunday. Four unbeaten runners from 5 including Farouk D'Alene

Much better Ferny Hollow , settled better out the back , not getting carried away as you were expected to win like that but nice to see .

Good news for all those that stuck with Ferny Hollow.
kind of what you wanted to see I'm sure.

Much happier with that, he does seem a bit of a handful but good to see him win on the snaff today. I am expecting Patrick to ride Appreciate it and wonder if they will get Codd on him for the festival?

Anything mentioned after the race?

“He's probably booked a ticket to go to Cheltenham but I'll have a word with connections, they are not here today, and we'll see how he comes out of the race,"
@WillieMullinsNH
after Ferny Hollow brought up a treble for the yard in the finale
@Fairyhouse

Cheers. Fingers crossed

Could be the way they could go Jon
Although Townsend might get the ride on Appreciate It
I know if Ruby was still around he would be pushing to ride one of them

Patrick will have first choice; always did, even when Ruby was riding . The Irish pro-jockeys.are at a bit of a disadvantage given they rarely ride in bumpers.

Nice little race tomorrow at Naas and I'm very interested in how Fire Attack runs. I just really liked the way he won LTO, travelling well and then showing gears and I loved the way he stuck his head down and moved. He may have not beaten much but the second, Julies Stowaway, had before that finished second to Wide Receiver and then LTO, won the race where Ballyadam disappointed. The 7th that day, On Eagles Wings came second to Ferny Hollow today(albeit FH won with complete ease).
I'm already on Appreciated but feel that Fire Attack is worth an interest with the 33s that B365 have priced up as can cash out if he disappoints. Unibet are the only other firm who have him priced up at 16s.

Not sure that is still the case
Depends on the owners to a certain extent
Cheveley Park would probably prefer Jamie Codd
Suede and munir would want Jacob to ride if they had a runner
Ruby won it 3 times for Mullins, although 2 were before Patrick started riding
I have backed Appreciate It and Ferny for this
Would have no issues if Patrick and Jamie were on board

Re Fire Attack. I have decided to have a play too. Here is Joseph's write up for his Betfair column for the weekend

Improved since debut but this is much tougher
17:10 - Fire Attack

This looks like a smart bumper and we have declared Fire Attack for it. We were very happy to see him make a winning debut in a bumper at Limerick's Christmas meeting as while he had shown plenty at home, we weren't burdening him with big expectations for his debut. Tom gave him a lovely patient ride and he ultimately won with a fair degree of authority. This looks a much stronger race though. He should improve nicely from his debut and hopefully he'll be good and competitive.

Good battling quality shown by Farouk D'arlene today.

A string to the bow if he does get on the boat?
