What are peoples thoughts on Farouk D'ALene here? 20s NRNB seems a fair price, confirmed as going and race to cut up.

Elliot + giggy. Destroyed a horse that there was word about for his first 1. Worth a punt anyway.

Huge reputation too - can't imagine 20's lasting too much longer
 
Perhaps the Ballyadam run changed their mind on bringing Farouk over. Very surprised he goes for the bumper
 
Entered in Winner's Bumper at Naas on Sunday. Surprised he's going as well - difficult to gauge bare form of his Down Royal bumper as it was a very poor race.

Also Ferny Hollow entered on Saturday at Fairyhouse

Quite close to the Festival for FH? Willie clearly been very keen to get another run into him. Maybe to see how he fares with the headgear before the big one.
 
I don't think Willie will be sending Ferny Hollow regardless of the result Saturday myself, as he's got the short priced fav for the race, and others he can send.


If he wins he may end up giving him a bit of a break and going for Punchestown?



I suppose I'm just assuming Ferny Hollow won't be on the boat, but can't really back that up historically.
 
Strongly recommend taking the 20s with 365 for Farouk... if he’s Elliots only runner he will get a lot of positive mentions on the preview circuit and he is supposedly very very good.....

Absolutely nowt has come out of his race and done anything.....but he was clearly a class above them!
 
From the Racing Post - this is what Elliott said about the bumper. Subtly different to other reports:

Darling Daughter, the mare who won at Leopardstown, will run. Eskylane, who won in Navan, might run too. Farouk D'alene, who won nicely at Down Royal over Christmas, could turn up here if the ground turned up soft. I was disappointed by Ballyadam at Navan on Sunday – he was too keen. I still think he’s a nice horse but he won’t be travelling over to Cheltenham.
