Juvenile hurdler Jazzy Matty (Previously named Jamestown) runs tomorrow at Auteuil 11.15 under his current connections. Would be hopeful of a good run there before going straight across to Gordon. Still 33s in the Triumph market..

Jazzy Matty will come on for that run. Off the bridle mid-race he was slowly coaxed back onto it, and wasn't given a hard race at any point. Looked to blow up 3 furlongs out. He'll definitely benefit from the tender handling he was given and the racecourse experience, as many smart French ones do. Anyone that has him backed shouldn't give up on him. An entry at Down Royal (or not), will tell you all you need to know.

The 3rd was a gelding with two places in 10 hurdles races, rated 101, and giving the winner 7lb, beaten 17L.

Theres no form lines that suggest Cheltenham there, at this point.

Maybe its a prep for the Grade 3 Mares Novice Hurdle at Down Royal that Impervious won last year, and could lead on to the Royal Bond.

Generally the stable wouldn’t have close to their best horses running around at this point., but of course we did get Statuaire touted as a MNH Fav after winning the Royal Bond (not a Maiden Hurdle though). :cower:

Looked good against a weak in the betting Brazil and Hubrisko who isn't a great 2miler.

I imagine they'll go up in grade now for something like the Royal Bond but he may find himself outclassed at G1 level depending upon what turns up.

Then onto the 2m6 at the DRF and onto the Bartlett :wink-new:

Penhill won the same race and went on to win the Albert. He's already won over 2m 5f this season as well.
He does look a classy individual.

Yes he was impressive , wasn't expecting him to be featuring in the Supreme market this early !!.
Only have him backed for the Al Bartlett.

Penhill went Fairyhouse over 2 then Limerick over 3 at Xmas then onto Albert. Be interesting if this guy takes same path.

Fair points. Ruby talking about potential tilt at the Royal Bond. Not sure how much of that is from a position of knowledge and how much speculation, but if he went to the Royal Bond it would suggest a campaign over shorter distances.

Definitely one to keep an eye on either way!

I've only backed him Albert as well as I can't see taking on and beating the likes of Facile Vega and Mullins other top of the class Novices over 2 or 2 1/2m. Happy to wait to see where he goes next.
