Listening to Ruby you do get the feel that Colreevy will not be running in this. She's more likely to go to Limerick or to one of the Novice chases. He clearly likes Elimay though. No mention at all if BDD.

Willie Mullins on Benie Des Dieux:
️ “I’d say it will be straight to Cheltenham with her. The mares’ chase is a target I’ve had in mind for her, but we’ll see how both races cut up – we might have old business to attend to from last year”

Wonder if this is anyhow related to Concertista shortening from 3s to 2s for the mares hurdle yesterday though?

Not jumping a fence in 3 years sounds absolutely huge on the face of it. But the thing is Benie was never ever going to be a horse who had 2 or 3 runs over fences (or any type of run) this season. She's always been incredibly lightly raced before the Spring. At most she would have had the 1 run over fences. If they have been genuine about theis race being a target, which has always been mentioned at every stage throughout the season, abeit as one of many, I personally don't really see the not jumping a fence for 3 years being the deciding factor to where she ends up. For all we know she could have been back over fences at home throughout the past 2-3 years as well when at the back end of each season they would always put the option of chasing back on the table.
And don't forgot Mullins was happy to run Douvan in a Champion Chase without a run that season or an entire year. Not as long of course, but the standard of race is so so much higher than what this Mares Chase would be. Add in his record and attitude to sending mares fresh to the festival.
