Specifically with free bets though, for (what are still) obvious reasons - although since then I have backed with 5 points, as we've already discussed.

That’s a bold claim! If I could be bothered, I’d find the thread two years ago where the Mares Chase was announced as a new race for 2021.. I posted somewhere early in that thread that my favourite horse in training BDD would win it at odds on! So I’m having this one Kevla!
All you need to know about Salsaretta is that, despite the unwelcome fall, she is still favourite and shorter than BDD with Paddy.
Maybe so but there’s absolutely no way Mullins would turn down the banker situation of the inaugural running of the race with Benie running elsewhere. The only danger to that is that the Stayers Hurdle suddenly looked a weak renewal and Mullins thought she’d win that instead.
I genuinely believe she will run in the Mares Chase. Rich Ricci has always said she was seen as a better chaser and a mares Chase would be ideal for her if the race ever happened. Now it’s here and has been namechecked and yet alot of people just don’t want to believe it could happen because reasons like Paddy Power being top price or because it’s not going to be a Grade 1. I guess we will see. I’m very confident though that whichever way it goes, Salsaretta will not be the number 1 hope from that yard.

Championed was the wrong word..... I just actively backed her and got questioned about it on more than one occassion (rightly-so).
Black Hercules was fav for the NH Chase with them for a long time
Certainly in the early days (and possibly still now), I recall that you were only using free bets for BDD here. I wholly approved of that. The only bet I've had on Salsaretta was also a free bet. Given we know so little about the race I think it's the only sensible option.

Yeah, built up a 100 point return in the end with free bets.
I did have 5 points win though after the stable tours as a flyer which I do not need, but I can absorb a 5 point bad bet in the grand scheme I think / hope!

4 days on..... Paddy have pushed Benie Des Dieux out to 7/1 for the Mares Hurdle, and cut Benie Des Dieux for the Mares Chase - 5/1 (shorter than Salsaretta)
The time has come, 2pts boosted with Hills @ 10.8/1 on BDD Mares Chase.
She is such a bleedingly obvious bet. They have said she might go chasing and I don't see the point of taking on Honeysuckle when this would almost definitely be the easier race of the two, and they look to have a solid might not be 'back up' in Concertista. Its WPM so all moving parts, all can change, but she's on the move in the market for good reason IMO and I would be kicking myself if I didn't take double figures when there is still a little bit of it left
