Who's Attending Where?

Been a couple of times, standard trip go over Friday, sightseeing Saturday including boat trip on the Seine, a climb up the Eiffel Tower (inside !) and a look round the spectacular Sacre-Coeur Basilica, races on Sunday and home again on Monday. Did call into Chantilly on the way back on one of the Mondays to check out the Museum Of The Horse and the Chateau de Chantilly which are both beside the Chantilly racecourse, home of the French Derby.

Was heading up to Aintree for the first time on the 24th anyway but secured a couple of O&t badges courtesy of a charity auction so really looking forward to my Aintree bow now :semi-twins:
 
Off to Cheltenham this month and next and also going to Newbury as always for the Hennessy. Need to save a few quid !

This will be my first time at the hennesssy meeting,, Lobos, what's it like for getting served at the bar and generally moving around the place ? Cheers.

We always go upstairs in the glass fronted grandstand bar. Easy to get a beer or have a pee.Great viewing across whole of course from there. Straight down the stands at the front to all the on course bookies or down the stairs at the back to the bookmakers and food hall on the ground floor.
I've been going for the last 40 years and If you are having a bet in the big race DONT back Ante Post. The winner is regularly backed heavily on the day of the race and normally only an hour or so before off.

Excellent mate, thanks for that. I went to Newbury meeting in July a couple of days before covid restrictions were lifted and the crowd was capped at 5000, i think it was, it was table service through the app also, so couldn't really use that experience as a guide to the hennesssy !

Haha, an annual event organised by an old work-friend that I've kept in touch with. Every year I agree to it around July, and completely forget that every year that it's going to clash and then I go, and whinge :biggrin-new:
 
Going to Newbury for the Friday and Saturday - Ladbrokes Trophy meeting . My Birthday Treat , one year late. :cupcake::cupcake: .

I did exactly the same a couple of years back when my local did a trip there, gutted when i realised it was the same day as Cheltenham !

Going Sandown tomorrow, first time back course side since Cheltenham 2020, very excited even if have to deal with that farce of a 2 horse field in the feature race
 
Absolutely buzzing for the week ahead…..Bangor on Wednesday & Cheltenham on Sunday! Will be the first time on course since Ludlow this time last year :chuncky:
 
Chelt this Sat/Sun, so who is heading down as mention of a meet up was discussed the Oct meet so would be good to see some of you.
