Triumph Hurdle 2019

Nice, won well.

You had him ahead of Sir Erec? That still the case based on yesterday?

It doesn't look like it according to O'Brien. I have BOO any race at fancy prices but worried that he might stay at home?
Might be one of my darts that doesn't stick? time will tell.

Yesterdays win covers my AP bets

Still no word on Lamarckise?

Likely to go straight there if at all, like Let's Dance, then end up in the Mares Novice next season possibly?

Also, unless I misheard, I think Pic D'Orhy is likely to go straight to the Triumph, think it was Paul Kealy who mentioned it.

Yeh. Might go there. Might go mares novice.
Like you've just said, If she runs at al, it will be in a proper graded race. Where if she wasn't to win. She'd be good to go for the mares nov next year.

Only very small amounts but Pic D'Orhy is available at 20 and 21 on BF Exchange. Is someone just prepared to take him on or is there up to date news in the offing which this reflects ?

UPDATED : 20s gone now back to 15s.

Having followed him on the flat I’m a little annoyed not to be on Sir Erec at big prices in this but equally not keen to take 6/4 now, especially as like many I’m hoping Pic turns up. That said there’s no denying that he could very well turn out to be the next big thing over hurdles and with that in mind I find the 33s with Sportsbook a little too big on him winning the Triumph and next year’s Champion.

NH-
Laskadine (Aidan Coleman)

I adore this filly and she would be one of my top juveniles at moment. She wasn’t overly impressive at Warwick on her debut where she jumped very indifferently but I have a reason for it. Before she ran there she hadn’t actually jumped an English Hurdle because of all the dry weather and she’d only schooled on the carpet surface over our easyfix hurdles which are very much like the French ones which she’d know about, so we concluded that she’d never jumped a proper hurdle on grass until that day at Warwick, therefore we’ve done plenty of schooling on the green stuff and she’s been very good. Aidan came and jumped her over 5 hurdles this morning and she was brilliant so I will be expecting a much more accomplished jumping performance. She stayed 2m2f on heavy ground in France so you’d hope 2m4f around Haydock won’t be an issue. The only problem is that JP has every good 4-y-o going so probably doesn’t really need her anyway – but I do!

Certainly positive from Hendo there! Reasons to forgive.

She might shake up the market a little?

Then again... does JP want a girl beating up their stalion prospect? Absolutely not

She's a good horse. I said before her debut here and afterwards. She has a big engine. Barry gave her a really strange ride too. He was full of horse but had no interest in using what he hand under him.

Made me question if he was trying to handicap her.

Decent match race.
Quel destin v torpillo.

Not a forgone conclusion
But Personally expect quel destin to out battle Him, as torpillo is a soft finisher when he faced some live opposition when winning in France.

we'll soon see.

You can't knock quel destin. Bags of experiance, jumps well. And has a brilliant attitude.

He might not be one for the future. But hes deffinately one for here and now as a juvenile.

A little bit under rated by most I feel. Can't knock him at all.

Was a big ask today in open company. But laskadine bombed. In terms of the triumph.

Held up a mile off the pace again.

Erec odds on to be odds on.
Competition thinning out rapidly.
