Triumph Hurdle 2019

So there is something lurking out there ?

There's nothing at all to say sir erec would beat even quel destin. Only hype says it.

Fusil raffles goes for the Adonis.
Pic d'orhy should he line up here. Is quite simply the best horse in the race.

Pic seems a big if atm

Last seen in early Nov.
Surely needs a prep in decentish company

On the prep:
Not at all, he's had a full season of the best graded juvenile races in all the land.

Like every year all the juveniles go to wincanton at the end of the month. They will then make a decision.

Not knocking it tbh..
Possibly trying to pick a hole that isn’t there.
Have seen pic has had a busy campaign.

Had just hoped to see a run over here.

Wait and see the full line up.

The assumption that the Irish are the best and sir erec has beaten the best . Is far wide of the mark.

It's not far wide of the mark is it ?
Your statement is though.

Pic D’orhy will win this comfortably if turning up. But I really am surprised with JP splitting Fakir and Sir Erec up from here. Sir Erec has been impressive but the way this race will pan out I just can’t see him winning. I’d much rather back Fakir D’oudaries in a race of this nature but by all accounts he looks to be supreme bound. (I don’t see Fakir winning the supreme either)

Just like Apples Shakira 6/5 last year? :-)
If SE wins good luck to all , I’ve a bit of 25’s and some doubles but biggest winner would be Quel D & Pic

No, like Defi du Seuil the year before.

Why would SE not be suited? He will stay no problem.

If Pic D’Orhy turned up with a proper prep then he would be the likely winner on all known form. As they are in a bit of a race against time with him, it may be that Aintree is where you’ll see his true running.

Pic D'ohry hurdle form is excellent, but there's no guarantee the form will hold firm as they're juveniles and some will be more forward than others at different times.
And trying to compare French Juvenile hurdler form to a 109 rated horse off the flat like Sir Erec is difficult.

The flat horses don't always take to the new discipline, but when they do, they're going to be formidable.
Especially if they're best piece of flat form is over 1m 4f or further.

He's a short price now and I can see why people are after getting him beat, but he's a banker in this for me, even if Pic D'ohry turns up.

Wouldn't mind Pic winning though as I backed at 22's, and it'll make a lot of people happy on here.

I can't lose

I’m in similar position:-)))

The worry with Pic D'Ohry is whether he's had enough time to settle in. Nicholls said something yesterday about French horses taking time to acclimatise, I think. The reason Sir Erec is so hot is because he's such a classy horse who ran Stradivarius close in a Group 2 and has taken well to hurdles. The new course should be right up his street and he will take some beating in my opinion - but I an biased as I have big prices
