I was looking forward to this being my week in the office to hurry the time along to the weekend, and I started coughing yesterday and have just tested positive :boxing:

I have just had the same thing, well technically still do as in the system, literally stay in bed and only drink water, and alot of it, would be my advice.

Where do you think you guys picked Covid up from......... children? Or are you not working from home ? Just interested.

I obviously run my own business from home and have no other job, so I'm only in physical contact with my mrs and son. the only place anyone has been is my 2yo son going to nursery, my mrs click and collecting shopping, so likely the nursery for me.

Not sure Lobos. I was working from home last week but my fiance is still in the office, she was ill last week but not with standard COVID symptoms, so it could have come from her

Get well soon Ryan and Scooby! I’ve had a glorious year on the extremely vulnerable list (am only 40!) but looking forward to my first shot in the arm on Thursday

I'm pretty fine now apart from 1 very embarrassing after issue id expect from a 60yo and still being fatigued.

but at 29 and a fairly fit 6'1 20 stone man. I'd fairly took that for granted, and it genuinely felt touch and go for a few terrible days. So anything to avoid getting it, I'd strongly advise. And anyone who has it, dont take it lightly as I carried on like normal for a few days, and it gets far worse to a point you can do nothing bar lay there and drink water.

All the best Ryan, I am sure you will be fine.

Just remember the roles get reversed when you infect her, let's hope that happens soon and not a delayed infection around the middle of March...

I hope you’re feeling better soon Scooby & Ryan. I didn’t struggle too much with the virus at the time just mild flu type symptoms but it affects people differently and some people I know were quite rough. I was fatigued for around a fortnight after, it felt like jet lag and losing your taste and smell is a pain and can be quite dangerous. A month on and I’ve still got limited smell and taste, I left the gas hob on this morning on accident after turning the knob cleaning it and couldn’t smell anything until the kids pointed out!!

Most likely from the Festival, Lobos, as symptoms surfaced shortly after. Testing wasn't fully available at the time so I can't be 100% sure, but I've been working from home 95% of the time with barely any contact with the outside world. It's possible that my two kids brought it home but impossible to tell.

I had the antibody test just before Christmas which came back positive, not that it gives you any real meaningful information such as the level of antibodies in your blood - but it does give you some small reassurance that you have some immunity.

Ryan and Scooby - hope you both recover well and the effects are not long lasting.

Best wishes to Ryan and Scooby for a full and speedy recovery. I've been off work with for 3 weeks and hoping to go back to work tomorrow. It wiped me out to the extent I was shuffling to the toilet and holding onto the wall for support. Don't do too much too soon, my advice is to respect the virus and take your time in your recovery

Get her to get you boots dual defence nasal spray. I know a few people that have used this with Covid and they say the stuff is mustard reducing symptoms. Might be bullshit but for ?6 worth a try and reports online look good

to the top.

I was looking forward to Cheltenham.

Come on Mayo, Not you sir.
It'll all get better, it always does. Even if it gets worse before it does :highly_amused:
