Stayers Hurdle 2020

I thought Bacardys actually stayed on really nicely today.

16/1 for the 3rd fav? Decent E/W bet for me.

Already on at 40/1, but someone will read this and back him hopefully :highly_amused:

Yep , Was thinking of backing The worlds end after wetherby.
, But Bacardys a better option i think .

He's 16/1, so nearer 9/4 to place (all stake taken into account).

I really like him, I think he looks stronger this season too, I've had him in a free bet, but cash will be played shortly.

@16/1 1/5 ?

All in, 15/1 is evens these days. Unless your laying off the win.

If you had 1 point EW on him you'd get 4.2 points back if he placed, so as scooby says... is 11/10 essentially.

That was what put me off as PP looks virtually unbeatable and 11/10 to be 2nd or 3rd is too short to me.

A positive for Bacardys is that he has finally backed up successive performances. Something he hasn't done since his novice hurdle days.
For the most part understandable considering he has switched from fences back to hurdles but his Spring form over the last 2 seasons has had a solid run followed up by a lacklustre one (or vice versa). For me he ran very credibly at the weekend and backed up his beating of Apple's Jade. Take away the 2 Mares and he holds a strongest hand for the Irish and in the 3mile Christmas Hurdle (subject to Penhill getting back to peak form and fitness)

That said completely agree on 16/1 being skinny. Bet365 were one of the last to adopt 1/4 odds. Them going 1/5 has killed any EW bet below 20/1 now for me really.

In this race I just cannot see Paisley Park beaten. He'll have to perform below par or something to happen during the race to stop him winning. 2 things that we have no evidence to suggest he'll do so based on the last 18 months. I know some will factor bets in incase that happens but that's not for me. So 2 places to play for... i'll be wanting more than just over evens for him (or anyone) to do that

40/1 looks great now. But I don't think 16/1 does myself to get involved at this moment of time.

16-1 is too short.
He don't look like he's going to improve any time soon.
His mark seems about right as the form vs apples seems similar both runs this year, which gives a reasonable gauge on Honeysuckle.
Is an iffy mark of 152-157 a stayers hurdle winner ?
You'd want the win chance at 16-1

Screw you all then.

I'll just sit all alone with my 40/1 and cheer him on by myself.

You'll be sorry when Paisley Park gets a spliter though.

But he'll still have Benie to get past !?

Bacardys jumping seems to have improved dramatically since they’ve gone back to concentrating on hurdles.

Ruby gave him a decent enough shout for the stayers in the RUK preview.

Agree he’s not amazing value now at 16s but if he was that on the day would have a decent play.

I’ve got a huge interest in how he does so would be a dream if he could do it!

On the day he'll be 8/1 and people will be clammering over themselves to have a bet to nothing on him each way :p

Yawn yawn yawn

She is entered for and fav for the Leopardstown Xmas Hurdle so the Stayers option does have a little substance. Still say 10/1 with Hills is not to be sniffed at.

Hes not priced up but has entries in a handicap hurdle and the long walk.

William Henry

Could be a live outsider here, in a race which atm lacks strength and depth. Has good course form , and obviously won last years coral cup after a wind op.

Not saying he'll win, but if he can be priced up at 50s 66s and gets a win under his belt beforehand, he could run into a place at a big price

I would get onboard that!

As much substance as Honeysuckle for the CH ?

Can get over 20s on exchange.....I added a little at 30s after Honeysuckle last week

Could also do in double with Honeysuckle

Are there any prices around for if the cap fits to do the double.
Marsh hurdle and stayers?
