Stayers Hurdle 2020

Not priced anywhere, but could Aramon end up a player in this division?

I don't think he'll be good enough for G1 hurdles over 2miles... but he's unexposed at the trip.

then again, that's because he didn't shape like he needed a trip.

Anyway, not priced so not worth thinking about yet.

The only left field one iv thought of is itchy feet. But a big ask.

The mares nov winner is seemingly being pushed towards here atm, again not a superstar but shes quite a nice young stayer. I'd be certain shed improve again up to 3m, but what level were talking, I'm not sure.

Emitom will be back just after Christmas too (all being well, it's more of a precaution)

Emitom is only 20/1 so happy to dismiss him despite Greatrex's stonking affection for him.

I want to be fishing at a bigger price than that, no rush I suppose.

Paisley due out the end of this month

Paisley for me is the banker of the meeting and I've bet him accordingly. Owes me nothing though due to last year's win.

Very strong fav IMO - always worth fishing at bigger prices though this far out.

Going to correct myself and say second best banker of meeting.....top banker belongs to Tiger. Unbeatable.

Was happy to read that, i put her up for this on here earlier in the thread. Think she's a potential dark one for it....beating Paisley won't be easy though.

Lisnagar Oscar entered for the Stayers handicap on Betfair Chase day so presumably connections already considering going back over hurdles

Would need to be 100/1 for this to be interesting though wouldn't he?

Very good from Bacardys today. Runs like that in the Stayers he'd have a great chance.

Could get 50s with Unibet, Blacktype again 40s seems available still?

Had a flyer.

Apple's Jade can't have run to form though so won't get carried away.

Update on EMITOM from Warren Greatrex today.

The Lambourn handler hopes to have stablemate Emitom, who only lost his unbeaten record when upped to Grade One company at Aintree, back from a leg injury in time for the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.

He added: "Emitom will be back after Christmas. It is just a case of whether he is back in time for New Year's Day and the Relkeel Hurdle.
"I know that is over two and a half miles, but on soft ground I wouldn't worry going back in trip.

"If he doesn't make that, he will wait for the Cleeve at the track on Trials Day. He has been walking and trotting and hopefully we will get the go ahead to start cantering this week."

"Only"

He "only" lost it cos he isn't up to grade 1 standard :p

I don't get Emitom.

I think jono, scooby, FM all like him, probably loads more......and I know they know what they're talking about.... but I just don't get it!

Which bit of his form makes him look like he's going to be a grade 1 winner? :very_drunk:

Greatrex is a bum as well :p

His forms fine, its the rawness, he was just a frame, his jumping wasnt that good, he was green.

He was doing a hell of a lot wrong imo, yet still running to a very good standard. Should be alot more to come from him, he can improve in all departments. Yet doesn't need to find that much on the form book.

Bright Forecast had a fibrillating heart, went to Newmarket to have it corrected and now is back in work. Will “probably” stay over hurdles this season (Racing Post)

Already backed it 33-1 B365.
Parachute Paddy nodded.
Think he's definitely one that could develop into a challenger, based on running style.
and the form of the Ballymore looks better than most at the minute.

How many horses have come back from having a fibrillating heart? (I have no idea)

Sprinter Sacre did but was never as good.... if Bright Forecast comes back but isn't quite as good as he was that'd leave him well short for a stayers hurdle.

Think it sounds worse than it is.
It's more of an issue if it's due to an underlying condition. Which it sounds like he's been tested for.
been reading about it this morning.

Is it stretching it to compare Stoney Mountain with Paisley Park at this stage?

His Aintree win and today's win at Haydock were races won by PP last season. Today's race is renowned for being win by talented horses (Dynaste, Grand Crus, Paisley Park etc). He is rated a fair bit below PP at this stage but looks to be on a steep upward curve.

Could he progress into a stayers contender? 25/1 is slightly shorter than I was hoping for but he is slightly interesting.
