I remember wondering around the Best Mate enclosure (for my final time) what horse to back (I didn't do as much ante post until the following year) and it kept sticking out at me, why was it so bad the previous week, there had to be something in it. So I sidled up to the on course bookie and had a fiver each way at 25s. It was my lucky day as I then backed Coneygree with some of the winnings and then got a gut feeling about Killultagh Vic as well and went in on him. If only every Festival day was that good haha

I was in the Best mate on supreme day with my mate . we hadn't had that much luck , then in the last race we went 50/50 ,
and as he's a little Leprechaun I said let's do " Irish ?????? - Rebecca curtis horse . Hosed up and made
a great day even better.

........... Irish Cavalier !. just remembered - won at 11-1.

Lovely, it is nice when you get a random gut feeling and they hose up. I have been in the Tatts ever since as it always seems to hammer it down when I go in the BM.

I've enjoyed reading these Cheltenham threads but I wonder how are you lot are backing these antepost prices and getting free bets etc? All of my accounts are restricted :(

No one specific answer for that boopa... could be loads of factors.

I have some losing accounts restricted and winning accounts that aren't... not sure what the algorithms are!

My friends and family have their uses:devilish:

Simular position. I have 2 accounts not restricted 1 is a new one. But I can also use shop for any race bets which they won't take online.

I don't have any account's boopa ., only bet in shop.

Have to admit BigChaang, often thought that myself re the constant flow of free bets, but it must be possible!

Throwing one in for this that might not even end up running here as he has to jump a level:

Paisley Park- i think he could be this year's version of Sam Spinner, but hopefully he wins in the end haha!

Are we in for some imminent Faugheen news?

Betfair exchange for this market have him last matched @ 17, albeit for small amounts, but the lay amounts have been eaten up!

Wholestone going for the Long distance hurdle at Newbury , and according to the Owners - Chasing off the agenda
This season , So surely aiming here again.

Id assumed would be the case after that win. Bit of a waste really but understandable with the prize money he'll earn. I'd have been keen enough on him for the JLT at a likely big exchange price should he have been able to jump a fence.

Hes been cut from 14/1 to 4/1 for the morgiana at paddys.

I saw melon was out to 11/4 yesterday too and laurina pushed right out . They've shortened samcro right up. So that's sorted that one out. Samcro v faugheen who dosent want 2m any more, you'd have to be massively dissapointed in samcro if he dosent win here . And they'll probably go way overboard in beating a name like faugheen even though he's not the 2miler he was.

This is going to be interesting then, Faugheen vs Samcro, if the betting is anything to go by.

All the while WPM will be getting more information by sending out his horses against Samcro, Sharjah LTO, Faugheen or potentially Melon this time out, and I assume Laurina will be the end game in the CH.

Samcro has to win against a first time out Faugheen, which is when I wouldn't want to be racing him. Faugheen has lost just once when 'fresh', that said, he's just a freak anyway, before last season that was his only defeat too. For me I think he is at his best off of a break though.

In theory I would think that Faugheen will set this up nicely for Samcro.

Faugheen main weapon now is his cruising speed but Cheltenham showed he’s maybe lost that spark at the end (where as at Punchestown he just galloped them into submission over 3m) so it should be an honest pace that will allow Samcro to use his blend of pace and stamina to come around him and win.

I’ll be hovering on my cash out button in case that plan fails, still expect to see Faugheen end up here come March for that very reason.

Big brother to upset little brother. Germany must be proud :highly_amused:

Do you think melon will come over to Cheltenham for his first run?

All the big names stand their ground at the 5 day confirmation stage for the Morgiana.
