Punchestown 2021

I've said that about 4 or 5 of mine so far:welcoming: Probably be saying it about Honeysuckle and Bob Ollinger this time tomorrow ! Amazing how few of Mullins Have been affected by the long season. Gets on my nerves that genius :onthego:

Happens every year at punchestown doesn’t it!

Mullis seemed a lot more enthusiastic about Klassical Dream going chasing than I thought he would be. Mullins will have some team if AI, GDC, KD James DB all go chasing

Capodanno, Klassical Dream - quite the day for the forgotten forum horses!

Energumene is some horse. Don’t know how but I’ve managed to lose money on him the last 4 seasons, and he’s unbeaten :excitement::excitement:

Summer racing for him then. Next year's NHC horse has just surfaced . Boom !

Complete tool, such an exciting horse to look forward to. Lovely to see him win and know his Cheltenham miss was just a blip.

Do we think Energumene will stay at 2m next season or a chance he could go out in trip for the Ryanair? Looks like he has the world at his feet no matter the distance.

Willie said in interview current plans were energumene and chacun both going to champion chase.

Think he said before the race that he could go novice chasing in a few weeks as they had been holding him back to retain his novice status.

Plenty of talk after the race about the French Champion Hurdle. Would make sense

2 more placed horses for him behind Shishkin :very_drunk:

Sounding more and more like the NHC to me....

Patrick rode him today as well......

Gauloise banged in too now! De Bromhead horses are not at it at all this week, be nervy watching Bob O tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be different. Honeysuckle will not let us down. I'll just sit back and watch it all unfold.

Just catching up today. Sully D'Oc now running prominently and he's done that well. Delighted with that as he's been consistent this year and 2m looks his bag. Should line up in all the big 2m handicap chases next season in the spring with good ground and I think there's still more in him.

I may be in the minority but I still hold my pre Cheltenham opinion that Energumene will prove to be better than Shishkin. He's ran to the high 160s unextended there. I think the Tingle Creek will be perfect for him - right handed, ease in the ground and suiting a strong staying front runner. Hopefully they take Shishkin on early at Sandown.

Dysart Dynamo looks smart.

Klassical Dream and James Du Berlais ran very well. Both will be interesting if they take to fences.

Still a bit of 4/5 for Energumene in the 2m Ryanair Novice Chase. I think that's an absolute gift of a price.
He goes off around 2/5 - 1/3 on the day for me

Nice one Jono, called that perfectly

I like the look of keskonrisk tomorrow, had a great race at the DRF coming third to appreciate it. Didn’t jump well in the ballymore at Cheltenham but can find form again tomorrow in a weaker field. 5/2 is enough for me to have a nibble at it.

Thanks RC.
I've been of the view that he is one of four exceptional novice chasers we are witnessing this year.
We say it so often but Energumene vs Chacun Pour Soi vs Shishkin could offer some of the best 2 mile clashes we've seen for many a year.
