Ive being looking around at afew that been flagged up already , but one keeps jumping of the page at me not spoken about yet but not 100% sure he comes here , if he does he got a hell of a chance.

Mortal from OBriens yard really impressed me against Delta Work , plugging on really well ,has some nice bits of form to support that run wasnt a fluke. He may be going RSA but Im hoping he comes here.

Mad sweet on Mortal as well. I have him "any race" at fancy prices so comfortable whatever race he turns up in. I think he's good enough to win an RSA imho

"Being campaigned in a similar way to others trainer has sent here" - In what way? You could argue the same for Delta Work.

"GE has said early on that this is the plan - i like that" - Plans change, wouldn't be the first time.

"GE has a very good record in the race" - Agree.

"The Martin Pipe has produced lots of great staying chasers" - Maybe the odd one being semi-great, but wouldn't say 'great', and in race context none have come and won this race.

"Already an impressive winner at Cheltenham" - Hard to disagree, though at this very early stage the form of that race as a whole is hardly inspiring, but a positive for being a festival winner nevertheless.

"Taken to fences really well and improving with each run" - I'd disagree, he started with a comfortable win in a Beginners Chase, has since been beat in a Grade 2, only by a neck, and been stuffed in 2 Grade 1's, the only thing improving about him is the level of race he has participated in at the moment. He may well improve for the step up in trip, but his overall form at a high level at 3m is poor, 2 runs and 2 heavy defeats, he doesn't scream to me a horse that stays visually and on breeding.

"Big boat of a horse that looks and shapes through his races like 4 miles is right up his street" - His size is irrelevant, look at Tiger Roll.

25/1 is not a bad price, I'm just not convinced by him for this race, and as said, I have backed him 'any race' anyway, being a previous festival winner and all that.

That's probably the most positive factor of all in a race like this, assuming he even turns up for it.

Treading similar path to Jury Duty. I don't see any point in mentioning Delta Work for this, he is winning Grade 1's over 3m and is RSA bound.

Of course plans change, but that doesn't detract from GE specifically citing this race for BBB at the start of the season (which he didn't do for most of this others).

Yeh fair enough point. That being said the MP is 9 years old and has produced a Gold Cup second and an RSA winner.

Decent debut. He jumped well and most importantly stayed on well when headed in the Grade 2. I don't expect a horse that I think will be seen to best effect over 4m to be beating a horse like Delta Work in a Grade 1 over 3m. He ran well and stayed on well. Go through previous winners of this race. Most of them haven't competed in contests this deep so I am less inclined to be overly critical of BBB losing 10 lengths to Delta Work in a grade 1 over 3 miles.

Colin Tizzard will put the chasing career of Kilbricken Storm on hold to prepare him for a tilt at the Sun Racing Stayers' Hurdle.

Last season's Albert Bartlett winner will be given a prep run back over hurdles before a shot at the Grade One prize at the Cheltenham Festival. After making a winning start over fences at Ffos Las, the eight-year-old failed to follow it up when beating only one home in a Grade Two contest at Newbury last month.
Tizzard said: "Kilbricken Storm is going to go back down the Stayers' Hurdle route. He was not quite right after his last run over fences. He will have one more run, then go for the Stayers' Hurdle."
Kilbricken Storm's outstanding form over the smaller obstacles was a revelation last season.
Tizzard added: "The owners are not very keen to continue over fences, and they are quite keen to have a go at the Stayers' Hurdle. When we bought him his point-to-point form was only moderate, but he was a very good hurdler last season. He was very good at the Cheltenham Festival last season, and it is becoming more fashionable to swap horses round."

Is this recent KS?

I have just cashed out a L15 with him in for profit and put the other 3 that were orginally in that bet back in a trixie, albeit at worse prices.
 
Good news that. Covered him for stayers with lads at 45 (mentioned it on here long time back)
Probably not a likely winner (more lively outsider) for me but a strongly run stayers would help, as would softer going.
 
apologies if anyone's mentioned but I know theres been some talk about the JP horses that could turn up here.
I'd forgot but a postcast I'm listening too just mentioned that OK Corral won at plumpton and is on for a bonus, which to my mind makes him more likely to head here due to the RSA being hottish as it stands.

think hurdle mark is approx 146/147 so wouldn't rule out that option either, but would assume unless jumping issues arise in next run (possibly this week) then this race would be favourite.

Suppose couldn't rule out a chase handicap either, but I'm not sure why, he don't look like a handicapper (which don't make sense I know) just looks more classy and giraffey for a rough handicap.
 
Ok Corral is entered for the race at Warwick that's potentially a good pointer towards this race?


2018 - Ms Parfois (2nd in the 4 miler, just)
2017 - American (skipped Chelt due to ground)
2016 - Black Hercules (Was fav for 4 miler after it before the switch to JLT)
2015 - Sego Success (was pretty well fancied in the 4 miler)

Champers On Ice was 2nd in 2017 and ran in the 4 miler, Definitely Red 2nd in 2016 is a good'un.

No JP runner as far as I can see though, but interesting all the same.
 
Some people are tapping Glenloe up for this race. If BBB is a dodgy jumper what of Glenloe???
Having watched him at Plumpton my first conclusion was that he couldn't jump.

The warwick race is littered with strong stayers.
 
Top of my head, The Reynoldstown has been littered with strong stayers.
Oh, and the Newbury race, can't think what its called.
6 0f last 9 have been won by the Irish.
