MARTIN PIPE Conditionals Handicap Hurdle

….Ash Tree Meadow a best price 16-1 for this.

Has Elliott entered au fleuron over here to get a mark does anyone know - looks like extra four furlongs would really suit here

Spectre Au Fleuron given 132. Small amount of tax should see him sneak in towards the bottom.

Thinking on Willie's potential entries for this, particularly the Don Poli/GDC route. If El Fabiolo runs averagely at the DRF, do they have time to get another run into him prior to the Fez for his mark? Just noting Willie's comments about him being a chaser in the making makes me think he could be a potential Pipe candidate. Looks like he'd get 2m4f too.

Otherwise, Hawai Game, maybe. He's got 2 runs in the tank already and didn't struggle to see out 2m2f despite pulling the whole way FTO.

El Fabiolo has a run over hurdles in France so his next run (potentially at DRF) will qualify him for handicap hurdles I.e. Martin Pipe

Ah yes. Just seen, thanks. Hadn't looked back to last season. Seeing as State Man has an entry over 2m3f at Naas on Sunday, he could be a potential too ...

Worth noting El Fabiolos relatives with the highest rprs are two milers and he's close to the top of the county hurdle betting (I noticed the other day). I've been thinking along similar lines to you guys for a little while but will be waiting to see how he runs at DRF first. County was my first thought as a race for him, not pipe.

Fair points, Odin. Definitely worth considering. It was Willie's comments after his run at Tramore that made me think Pipe. He didn't say he needed further but the way he described him as a strapping chaser for the future conjured thoughts of a mid-long trip rather than the shorter trip. I'd be interested wherever he ends up; Graded or Handicap.

I haven’t looked through the whole 9 pages, but I note Classic Getaway has a couple of entries coming up.

Could he possibly come here? He’d be in the mould of some of Willie’s runners a few years back. Future chaser in the making most likely.

Not sure what mark he would get.

Would be very tight to get two more runs in before the festival. If you want one for the same connections then Deploy The Getaway could be a slow burner that finally fulfils his potential. Highly rated in his PTP and has finally found a bit of form after some setbacks.

I'm still not (completely) throwing away my bets for the AB and Ballymore. Hurt throwing away my Bumper ones. He'd have to come on massively for first start over hurdles but some of Mullins do, and he's a big inexperienced horse... entered for those two and the supreme so they're still looking at the festival and obviously still reasonably well thought of.

Would need a couple more runs to get in here wouldn't he, so taking up one of those entries next Monday and seeing how he runs would be useful. Interesting shout though, and still the opportunity for them to plot him up.

Is there any credence to Three Stripe Life coming here? seems fairly low in the betting and surely too good for this.

Elliott has quoted the Supreme as his probably target today.

Hard to do anything before his DRF run....

Has there been any comments on Olympic Man at all, last I've seen which isn't really a comment was an entry in the Future champions at leopardstown which he didnt go to. Needs 1 run for a mark after 2 runs in france

I've had a small bet each way on Anyharminasking for this NRNB with bet365 at 16-1. Not a clue if hes being aimed here or what his chances are of getting in but looked to me to win with a lot in hand at Sedgefield today - beat Constitution Hill in a point but that might just flatter him slightly ...

What do people make of Kilcruit coming here, would get a mark after today, seemed to lose his action when up against JWM but still only 4 1/2 lengths behind. The one that split them franked the form last time out and if he wins today snuggly would surely have a nice mark to play with. Willie does well with his novices here and doesn't mind pitching in his grade 1 horses. 16/1 NRNB seems a bit of value.

Just added him this morning, though was unable to get the 16's, only got a boosted 12/1 with Hills. However, he would bring a fair level of bumper form to the table. Need to see a revival today first though :encouragement:
