Mares Novice Hurdle 2019

Expected a drift on DDC this morning with having been off the racecourse for the guts of two years. This will be a good test today Scarlet Dragon finished 2nd to Global Citizen in the Dovecote last season and has good form & fitness from the flat. Even Monsieur D'argue's run in behind Elixir De Nutz & Jayvees Plate has proven to be solid. DDC will no doubt come on plenty from today but it should be very informative.

Haven’t watched but tough not to be disappointed with the result

It was disappointing alright HF, she never settled properly & her jumping was sketchy, understandably it was a very raw run after 2yrs off the track. She’d need to improve drastically for that blowout to be a danger in this race. I think Nicky said he wanted to get two runs into her before Cheltenham so her next run should tell us more.

Elusive belle getting hammered again. Annoyed I missed her debut. Regardless of bumper form. (Altior a fine example) she'd have been a decent ew play.

At the risk of you thinking us all a broken record Scooby has there been any talk of Chante Neige appearing?

You'll see on entry's for this race very soon. If you thinks she's not sound, you'd want to be cashing beforehand.
I'd expect to see herself and the likes of holiday winner ....... entered up for this.

I’ve no idea if she’s sound or not mate, just wondered if you’d heard anything more. Thanks for the update cheers

As far as im aware, her and colreevy are sound, waiting on soft ground. And awaiting a run.

Last I heard, she was one of the good ones who were being kept back until February.

That would make loads of sense for her, as they did highlight her as one they liked (owners anyway)

Another very good performance from Honeysuckle albeit she really needs to improve her jumping. Shes some engine though.

Very likeable mare but couldn't bring myself to back Honeysuckle at 12's before the race and despite another good performance, her current price of 6/1 still doesn't appeal

I agree. 6/1 looks very short. Although when you consider thats the same price as Epatante, it doesnt look quite so daft as Honeysuckle as certainly achieved a fair bit more.

Archie, haven't been on Supreme owners page yet, but RDC screams to me Albert Bartlett at festival??

Waiting for feedback, Jack. Before the race I'd said to Steve that, as a small mare, I thought that Robin would be better going over further and getting weight from the boys. Not disgraced today but no chance in this race.
