J.L.T Novices Chase 2019

On the bare form LR and Hardline price discrepancy is wrong. There's not much between them at all.

Whilst that may be tongue in cheek that is a soft comment to make, seeing as Hardline has won a Grade 1 already this season :triumphant: and VDR a Grade 2, beating Grade 1 winner, Hardline, in the process.

You do realise current JLT favourite, Lostintranslation has only won a Grade 2 so far this season, as has Vinndication.

Quite frankly this race is still very much up in the air, and could be won by any number of horses still, no solid standout, a bit like the Arkle I guess, but unlike the RSA.

Fully concur.

Hardline has already won a grade 1. He is top class.

Boopa,
When Hardline floats up that hill to victory in the JLT they'll be much egg on faces :devilish::highly_amused:

You have selective reading on these forums doc.

You should get that checked out :highly_amused:

Who has the 60+ for Hardline, I think that's what is putting me off :devilish:

I'm not on big for the JLT, yet. I have him in the Arkle 65/1 for a nice return but my best winner for that is Cilaos Emery now with rolling doubles at 80's and 50's.

Hardline is underestimated probably because he wasn't a top hurdler. Clearly a horse that has improved for a fence. I just love how he jumps, efficient and makes ground with ease. He doesn't travel hard on the bridle. A straightforward horse that will love that hill! LR is another that has improved over fences, maybe that's why he's 8/1 and not 4/1. Mortal another one.

Hardline looks like a horse that will run well at cheltenham without winning, nice horse

boopa,
Have you been looking through my black book??
:devilish:

You've got everything in the race :devilish::highly_amused:

Haha, you're original comment was better :p

Claimintakinforgan - Cashed for small profit
On The Blind Side - 20/1 (will be cashing out when NRNB)
Master Dino - Cashed for twice stake
Black Op 13/1 - worst bet I made so far
Samcro 12/1 - cashed out for small loss

Just for the purposes of being open, currently 3 pts up from the above...and have

Kalashnikov 28/1
Le Richebourg 40/1
Vinndication 33/1
Defi Su Seuil 15/1
Lostintranslation 25 and 22

Obviously going for the 1-2-3 in this race ;)

Ive had some fun this evening. Thanks for the banter. Off to put my feet up with a bottle of Hendo's Latour:devilish::highly_amused:

It is a big 'IF' but...'IF' they can get Getabird to go left handed he'd jump straight to the head of the betting for me.

I've just re-watched the Grade 1 they contested and Getabird was tanking in front, that one error at the last, the worst time to make an error, cost him and the run in @ Limerick isn't particularly long either. I can't believe even the most hardened of Hardline fans would think he would have beat Getabird without that mistake, surely?

So, that said, what price is Getabird for this race IF he had won @ Limerick?

In all seriousness, if I could get 20s NRNB I'd probably have added already

A lot shorter than hardline is...

Is 9/1 NRNB not fair for Getabird?

Kev,
Jokes aside, I'm not sure Hardline will turn up here. I can't see him winning any other race though.

I am seriously considering it Kev.

Might get some trixies on with Min and then Penhill/Faugheen.

I have a yankee with El Barra, Min, Getabird and Jon Snow :highly_amused:

Was waiting for the 365 NRNB price tbh, I think he'd go off a lot shorter regardless and clearly has the class.

He is better than Hardline, despite the defeat.... and Hardline is a "grade 1 winnner" as we know

Mine was more thinking a same day trixie, Mullins boilover, could include the Mares' Novice too if we knew which one to back :highly_amused:

Chante Neige is actually a solid shout!

I bet Sly are pathetic odds though
