J.L.T Novices Chase 2019

kalashnikov the one imo , expect him to improve dramatically when stepped up in trip. Just hope he comes here , think he a very good horse.

Not a bad shout. He's not winning an Arkle unless it comes up heavy again. Amy Murphy looks fairly set though.

Got a better chance in the Arkle, surely?

And I am thinking the step up in trip will suit Mengli Khan too, so he could end up here.

Hardline Arkle another one that has been nibbled. My 65's long gone 24's now.

I will have a saver for the JLT though.

He'll be my saver for the arkle ew. Once cilaos emery is fav hopefully kalashnikov drifts a little and is a double figure price on the day

B365 just let me cash out my king george bet at 10% profit on MASTER DINO, if anyone not done so already.

Why would he reverse form with Dynamite Dollars? Needs to go up in trip not fast enough.

Kempton didn't suit. I think Cheltenham will be another story. He'll certainly reverse the form with DD IMO, if nothing else.

I'd agree with that.

Any double figure price will do me ew, the night before or on the day.

DD travelled all over him giving him 5 lbs. Kempton was sharp enough for DD too.

Not as good as NRNB all races, but I'll take it.

Just home from work and seen the news about Dino.Seen a few people knocking skybet over the last week but glad i had backed it with them as would have lost me cash.NRNB saved my butt :devilish:

Just installed the app. How do you turn on notifications? Can't see any settings

I think I've seen it pop up asking if you want to receive push notifications... yes/allow...

but not sure how to switch them on other than being prompted.

If apple: settings>scroll down through your apps list to racing post app>notifications toggle on/off

This market screams being left alone at the moment.

Lostintranslation probably the pick of likely runners now looks to have sorted his jumping out. I'd love to see Vinndication here but vibes seem to be for RSA if he comes to Cheltenham.

An Irish challenger or two will undoubtedly will pop up once they see how weak the race looks. I'll be keeping my powder dry until the Dublin Racing Festival.

I agree with this. From an Irish perspective it looks like the Flogas will determine the focus for this race. I keep hearing that there a few horses still to run who have been waiting for softer ground. The problem now is that there is an absolute dearth of suitable Beginners chases in Ireland.

The complete list of potential Beginners chases is as follows*:

19-Jan Navan 3 miles
24-Jan Gowran 2 miles
26-Jan Fairyhouse 2m 6f
13-Feb Fairyhouse 2m 5f (Mares)
16-Feb Gowran 2m 4f
23-Feb Fairyhouse 2m 2f
3-Mar Leopardstown 2m 5f

* There are some other races restricted to horses with Hurdles ratings below 116 - those horses won't be going here

Not many options there! It's entirely possible some horses may have their Novice status preserved and be left until next year.

A PLUS TARD. H DE BROMHEAD

This is a bit of a left field pick for this race. Im not in the least bit certain it'll come to Cheltenham, but if it does it could be special. It runs in the Cheveley Park colours.
I was very taken with the last performance at Naas over 2.3m. Jumped superbly, and beat a decent field, including Duc Des Genievres comfortably. The Gowran Park run was decent too getting chinned on the line. Gundigger, Burren Life, Burgas in behind.
He's entered up at Punchestown in a Grade 3 on Sunday.

You might get a juicy price if you add him to the exchanges, as he's not quoted anywhere

Backed Hardline for this. Might get taken off his feet in the Arkle but 65/1 was over. He's not flashy but he's honest and a very efficient jumper really like him.
