It’s all about opinion guys
I am very happy that Derek o Connor will ride stand up and fight
And david maxwell will ride shantou flyer
I certainly would not want it the other way around
 
I'd love to see a 40lb swing in a handicap haha
 
I see both Shantou flyer and stand up and fight both been cut by bookies today. Both strong on betfair too

Yes - they’ve realised they were offering Shantou Flyer at 8/1 for this but 20/1 for any race too :grumpy:
 
Yeah luckily I’ve had fair bit on at 33s any race. Then covered it with stand up and fight, Pacha Du Polder & Caid be Berlais each way
 
Any real thoughts on Pacha guys ?
Been very good to me.. Just wondering at 12yo now if it’s a year too old.
Has been lightly raced though the last 2/3 years.
 
Yes think the younger generation will be better but will run his race

That looks a good hand.

I've only backed Shantou Flyer and Stand Up And Fight right now, Caid is in the cross-hairs.

I don't think he'll win it... but I know backing previous festival winners blind, each way, pays off. So I wouldn't knock a two time C&D festival winner at 20/1 - and of all the races at the festival, age is probably the least relevant here...

but I expect a younger horse to be winning it, all the same.

Stand up and fight , shantou flyer , pacha du polder and irish anthem.
 
Wouldn't be a race i'd be getting stuck in to + likely the form won't read as well as others at this stage, but quite liked that from Sidetracked- won snugly for me + looked like he had a good bit more to give.
 
Very strong race on Sunday. Likes of ucello conti and gwencily berbas. Key players.
 
Not in terms of hunter chasing, but Ucello Conti seems like one over rated beast to me.

Tipped for everything, forever, and never delivered.

I suspect some people have him as a cliff horse.

Obviously respected in this likely field though
