How many punters are looking at their selections hoping they will have an average northern jock on board. The standard of northern jocks is terrible. Hardly a surprise that Hughes gets the best rides and regularly cleans up. There simply isn't that much competition. As I said they will occasionally have their day, but I doubt this will be one them.

I didn't like the line about falling off in 3 horse races, incase you implied that was anything other than unfortunate. If not, fine...

I am struggling to see how coming off a long odds on favourite under no real pressure in a three horse race is unfortunate? I would have thought disaster would be a more appropriate description. It would not fill me with confidence going into a 20 runner handicap at the Festival.

Glen Forsa was my only antepost bet for this.

I now think I’m starting to head towards yet another french horse (first Pic D’Orhy, then Dallas Des Pictons and Sire Du Berlais) in A Plus Tard.

This race is barely a handicap in a way so I’m looking for the best horse in the field. And I reckon this chap could be the one.

A Plus Tard @ 8/1 e/w

Without wanting to be disrespectful, have you even watched it?

The horse doesn't really pick his legs up, lands in the fence, and flings him off after getting his front legs down on the other side... the comments are: Tracked leader, blundered and unseated rider 7th.

The same jockey was on board for a really good 15L win over No Hassle Hoff prior to that, and a run with plenty of credit where he was beaten by better stayers in the Kauto Star.

He had the pace to lead La Bague Au Roi and jump well in doing so... under 'no real pressure' or 'under more pressure' he did it in a grade 1 - so you're putting WAY too much thought into an unavoidable unseat.

he's got every chance in this kev, he'll be out in front out in front, out of danger, and hes ran well in a grade 1. First horse i had down for the race in december :)

pure northernism going on here :highly_amused:

First time sticking a horse up on here. I like Huntsman Son in this with Kielan Woods booked (very underrated imo). 25/1 with Hills 5 places and your usual boost. As short as 12's in places.

Disappointed to see G&P are considering pulling their horses out on account of the ground. Fancy my chances with Lough Derg Spirit in this.

Yep, doubt they'll run that now.

What’s their issue with the ground??

The trainer thinks it needs good ground, so the forecast heavy rain tues morning may put them off running.

Anyone would think that we were in for a tidal wave. Forecast differs depending on where you look at it and, in any case, is highly changeable. Just like equine feckin flu - vast over reaction. Why don't 'the usual suspects' get a price on the festival being cancelled?!

T*ssers. They should get on the fluffy sofa with Ruthie. Lesson to oneself, don't back horses that have w*nky owners.

Awe no way!! Surely LDS is not that ground dependant!! I’ve got him in 3 Lucky bets but if he pulls out I’ll lose a fair amount of value :disgust:

Its won on Soft, Gd/St, Gd. What are these muppet owners on about??? do they now anything about racing???

Tweet them doc, they're very talkative!

I've added A Plus Tard as well... 15/2 - 5 places with PP

I backed him for the JLT earlier in the season before Winter Escape slapped him aside giving him a stone, but I fancied Winter Escape too in the JLT so it may not be a big negative.

The beating of Duc Des Genievres may read well by the time the race starts as well... if he's gone well in the Arkle... and I still think he'll be shorter on the day than he is now regardless.

See you later...

Cashout LDS quick.... nothing to lay on the exchange so looks like he’s being scrachted.... FFS

Phew!! Swapped my tickets for NRNB.... clearly meant if you didn’t have NRNB

If you can cashout, you're with 365

and therefore it'll be NRNB?
