Is it just me or was Samcro on Gordys tour and has disappeared?

All four of Betfair’s Stable Tours for Joseph O’Brien, Gordon, Olly Murphy and Paul Nicholls had key horses missing.

Cyrname and Clan Des Obeaux, Thomas Darby, Gordon had loads missing.

What’s the chances Benie Des Dieux goes for the Stayers Hurdle and Laurina for the Mares Hurdle?

How they decide to campaign them is a puzzle but I think they will lean towards the stayers with BDD. De Bon Coeur was an almighty scalp for BDD to take over 3m and we know Ricci isn't afraid to send his best mares down the Stayers hurdle route. After beating De Bon Coeur in France Willie said “We run her against mares because those races are there but I’ve never been afraid of taking the boys on. I wouldn’t have any problem running against the geldings with her".

If it was down to Willie then I'd suspect Laurina goes Mares hurdle all day long and 6/1 could look huge. My concern are the owners. I think they are mad to not to go chasing with her (if what's being said is to be believed). If they favor another year hurdling, would connections have the ambition to go for a Champion hurdle in 2019, to then forgo chasing to aim her at a Mares Hurdle? If they think her defeat in the Champion Hurdle showed her true ability then it will be mares, if not, then it will be champion. It's a complete at this stage. That being said, if you wanted to get Laurina on side then 33/1 EW in the CH and the double of BDD Stayers and Laurina Mares @ 55/1 is not a bad shout.

A couple of things to note on the Mares Hurdle prices. You can get a boosted 2.69/1 BDD to win any race with Hills (same as she is with them to win the Mares, next best is 9/4). Also notice Laurina has been pushed out to 8/1 by PP/BFSB for the Mares Hurdle, not sure why or when this happened but would make me a bit cautious about her target.

I'm a little tempted by that BDD any race price although it's a few points shorter than it was before her performance in France and still feels a bit early to be backing one that short

Mullins wants to win titles , Ricci leave it to Willie .
I’ve backed BDD for mares @6/1 in singles and have monies running onto her at 5/2, looking at 4 figure return .
I did the same on Altior last year
It’s not a given that she runs in the Mares and if she doesn’t i’ll Do my money / part of ( have her @6/1Any race )
Have savers on Honeysuckle /Roksana but not at great prices .

...I was very keen on Roksana for this years Mares Hurdle immediately after Skelton said it was a target following Aintree 2018. Roksana was a very fortunate winner, and I wondered if next years Stayers Hurdle is an option. It was one of my first ante-posts @ 33-1, but I was a bit dismayed that Skelton has since said she’ll be going Mares Hurdle again.

I live in hope that there might be a change of mind and Roksana heads for the Stayers Hurdle.

Eggs we never know til the final decs but I’d be v surprised if they didn’t attempt to defend last years v v fortuitous victory
Which cost me a lot of dough !!

Can anyone add Bapaume to the Arkle being on the exchanges and with b365. I've had no luck with my emails to them and no response.

Not sure where to put this but the bumper at Warwick might have an interesting runner, Truckers Pass is VERY well thought of by Hobbs and is certainly worth a watch, not sure if hes a betting opportunity or not coz they will surely want to give him a nice introduction to racing under rules, but Im really looking forward to seeing him today. Feels like things are starting to crank up a little.

Plenty of money for him

Nube Negra has just comfortably beaten Ballymoy on debut over fences

Not expecting that we have seen the Arkle winner at Warwick in October but always one to keep an eye for a handicap

I had Nube Negra on my shortlist for the County Hurdle last year and was going to give him another shot this season too :highly_amused:

Just watched the race and his jumping was very impressive seemed to be making ground on the field at every fence. Not one I'll be backing yet but I'll certainly be keeping an eye out now for him.

Two very nice horses there to follow for the season, Truckers Pass used up a lot of energy early on. One to keep an eye on next time for sure

Bit the bullet and went in large on Honeysuckle for the Mares at 7's with PP. With Benie likely to go Stayers and Laurina's target uncertain the Mares is up for grabs and she oozes class. Can't see her dropping down to 2 miles and She is too valuable to jump fences. 7's could look a huge price come March.

I haven't backed her yet but I've been tempted to have a little punt on Honeysuckle for the Champion Hurdle at 50s. I think the 2 mile hurdlers might not be the best about, with last year's winner missing Buveur Dair maybe on the decline and Klassical Dream unproven in open company so far. Also the Mares has the potential to look more competitive than ever with Laurina, Benie, Roksana and Apples Jade.
