Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

Backed defi du seuill
King George and gold cup double
See no massively obvious reason why it’s assumed he’ll stay over shorter this season
Won over 2m and a half on soft ground on stiffish tracks against stayers.
Just don’t make sense that lost in translation is so much shorter
Already backed for king George 33-1ew few months back.

Cue stable tour saying they’re aiming at the champion chase or Ryanair :)

I’m 99% sure connections said immediately after the JLT his whole year this year would revolve around winning the Ryanair.

I’d be stunned if they take him anywhere else. The race looks absolutely tailor-made for him.

Bet365 have a horse called Zero Ten listed in their Champion Bumper market, 200/1

A Toronado descendant currently in Aus that has finished dead last in all three runs over 5f. Is there another horse by this name or is this the most left field request a bet ever seen?

Only one i can find is Storm Force Ten - owned by Robert waley-Cohen and trained by.
A M Balding, 4th to Peace and co in the Triumph hurdle trial at cheltenham - 24/01/2015.

I haven't heard anything TKP but he didn't look a natural over fences so I'd be against him in open company.

He'd be of most interest to me earlier in the season over hurdles, the Yorkshire hurdle at Wetherby would seem a good fit to me.

Cheers FM, he had a stinker of a season last season both over fences & hurdles and has quickly become a forgotten horse as he doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere. The way he won the AB in 2018 you’d hope he still retains some potential

Agreed. If he wasn't right last season (it's easy to put a line through his hurdles runs) then he might be underestimated at the start of the season.

Pretty sure it will be the horse who's been on the go with Emmet Mullins . 7 next year so won't be eligible anyway .

Yep deff with Emmet Mullins.(I backed it any race week 22) think was was before it won a fairly big race in France.

Soft ground will see Defi Du Seuil in the Queen Mother, Good to Soft he will go Ryanair
King George worth an attempt but sorry, can’t see GC attempt this year

That settles that then.

One name that im not familiar with that has been mentioned by a few people whos opinions id respect is with PFN owned by Andy Stewart called Cap Du Mathan. I havent backed him for anything yet but ill be looking at in the next week after a bit more digging. Might be one to have a look at.

Unless i'm imagining it , the horse quoted by 365 is Force Ten , not Zero Ten . ??.

I finally found Zero Ten - in the Arkle and J.l.t races , But it's Force Ten in the Bumper.

The Supreme 2016 Trixie:

Buveur D'air (7/1 - Champion Hurdle)
Min (10/1 - Ryanair)
Altior (14/1 - Gold Cup)

Henderson's owners day reports up on Racing Post but only for members.

Saw one of the headlines and sounds like Santini might not be going to Newbury and instead Sandown in Nov?
"Ladbrokes Trophy the target for Ok Corral and Santini may follow Might Bite path"

Cheers SC, had a decent E/W bet at 10s with 365 and very tempted to cash out full stake depending on exactly what was said. 365 have pushed him back out to 9s which I'd have no qualms going back in on if target is confirmed at some point

Surprised by this as santini has good form around Newbury. Hopefully hendo just had 1 too many and changes his mind
