Pricewise has completely lost the plot.

Antepost Champion Hurdle pick - Espoir D’Allen.

Not without a chance,
but first Verdana Blue now Espoir D'allen,
and Big Buv is going for his hat trick ?
talk about shitting on your own doorstep.

Verdana Blue has different owners to be fair. Espoir D’Allen much more speculative. I just topped up on Saldier 100/1 this time. Only small 1/4 point bets these wont make or break my week that's for sure.

I think Espoir is a great shout backed him at 50/1 before his latest run. Young improving horse who showed some good form last year bar a blip which he wasnt right in ireland when 4th. Each way value and a half 😎

Nice value non runner.

Yeah agree with the lads above ^ but get him onside early for the 2020 renewal (not cricket ) he's progressing well .

Would any Laurina backers have concerns about her on the old course as opposed to the new course last year? She’s a big old unit to be zipping round the tight old course

Samcro & Apples Jade news from O'Leary: "Tests were carried out after he failed to fire for the third time this season at Leopardstown over Christmas, but nothing untoward has shown up.

While he is unlikely to run again this season, Gordon Elliott's seven-year-old is set to be given the Festival option just in case.

"He'll be kept in the Champion Hurdle in case things go real well. But we're looking at the longer picture," said owner Gigginstown House Stud's racing manager Eddie O'Leary in the Irish Times.

"He is very, very, very doubtful for Cheltenham. He won't be rushed. He'll come back in his own sweet time - and if he doesn't this season, he'll be let off. He was always going to go chasing next season regardless."

When asked if Samcro's likely absence increased the chance of the mare Apple's Jade running in the Champion Hurdle, O'Leary said: "I still say we haven't a single gelding that qualifies for the Mares Hurdle - not one!"

"That's my answer to that. She qualifies, and that's still where I would go. It will be there or the Stayers'. But her ideal trip is two and a half miles.""

Mr O'Leary really doesn't help himself with idiotic statements like that does he ?

To be fair he’s always said they bought the horse to target mares races and has always leant towards the mares, it is other people that are trying to get her to take on the boys.

He pays his money he does what he wants, and says what he wants, still stupid/banal though.

“We have to see what gets there first, and then I can worry about that on the Sunday before Cheltenham. If all three horses got there, she would be a tough one to get off — and if she had to go straight to Cheltenham without another run, it wouldn’t bother me.”

Ruby knows...

I think Buveur D'air is more vulnerable over 2miles than Apples Jade is over 2m4f.

Champion Hurdle may be 'easier'.

Laurina may not be good enough to beat either, and hasn't got the form in the book as we know, but putting her in the Mares race because it's 'easier' doesn't sit right. Benie Des Dieux also has arguably a better chance than Melon or Sharjah in the CH ... so Ruby may see this as a no brainer
