Verdana Blue is going to the All-Weather Finals Day instead of Cheltenham I heard.

I get the whole stronger pace in theory but dosent make sense to me. As when BD ranges up. Look at the pace he hits the line. They're not cruising up then stopping in front. So when supasundae is ridden early enough behind. How's he going to pick him up?
He's not got an immediate change of gear and then going to fly up the hill twice as fast as a floundering buveur dair surely?

Interesting that. Why would Hendo want a runner at Lingfield for that over Cheltenham? Surely he’d prefer another dart at the Champion Hurdle over an all weather race.

I did say I was looking for an each way angle. I fully expect BD to win. But he’s too short for me asides from doubles with Altior and the odd multiple.

So I wanted something each way to run for a place with an outside shot at winning. Supasundaes consistency at the top level and the crucial course form makes him an each way shout imo.

Look at his face and how much he was apologising when she beat BD.

Same reason mullins diddnt want Annie power/ un de sceaux to run against the fly . History 3 x winner
 
Nico didn't look too pleased about winning either.
 
BDA is obviously a quick horse, but i wouldn't say he's a push button horse, i would be more of the opinion that he is a very efficient horse in that he is very quick over his hurdles and has a very good cruising speed allowing him to travel over his opponents much easier than others.
Sharjah would be more of a push button horse to me in that, i don't think over 2m4 he'd finish whereas BDA can do it no bother.

I do agree though he wouldn't have the same pace as the BDA's of this world, and will probably be pushed along at some point, hopefully he'd get a very good ride- possibly just off the front of a fast pace.

I haven't backed him yet, but i think at his price he's overpriced given the lack of contenders- perhaps thats partly down to it not being his confirmed target.
 
I keep going in on Sharjah and Supasundae ew. It's probably the best form we have this year, you can question what BDA achieved in the FF, despite the style being very impressive. Being the fav I want to take him on anyway.

Sharjah is undoubtedly an improved animal this year but I couldn't get stuck in properly before we know the ground. I can potentially buy the "took time to get over fall" argument, he looks like he's got the hang of it now. I still have question marks if he won through basic speed off a slow pace.

Supasundae each-way, NRNB is a solid a bet as you get in this market at the moment. I backed him for the Ryanair and thought it was a very promising run. Got stuck in trouble by the last, and would have finished much closer if the pace had been true. Admittedly he doesn't have the basic toe of Sharjah but a championship pace, course form and proven stamina for the hill all in his favour I think he rates a cracking bet.

You'd want the NRNB but I'm interpreting the vibes that this is the target, excusing a poor performance in the Irish CH.
 
Ive had my 1st bets in this race Supersundae ew NRNB 14/1 & Melon 8/1.
Im hoping to get a better price on Melon when/if he gets beat at Leopardstown.
 
She wasn't jogging though. Ruby said he tried to slow her down but couldn't.
 
For the record, I've backed AJ for this as 20s betfair too big if they get tempted after winning Irish CH. assume assume assume.
