Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

Just backed Grand Sancy for arkle, B365 40-1 1pt ew.
His novice hurdling season was pretty good all round.
French bred.
Rated 150+ over hurdles.
Will be 6 in March.
Nicholls decent record with 2 mile chasers.
Stable tour mentions novice chasing over 2 miles.

ran arguably his worse two races at cheltenham, but probably got excuses.

good replacement for pic D'ohry who I might add again when they decide what they're doing, can't see his price dropping considerably as the fizz seems to have gone out of his reputation for now.

I was thinking jlt or a handicap with this 1 as they seem very sweet on getaway trump

Cracking Smart makes his debut over fences at 2m6 today

Two horses been in my tracker all season first one is HIPSTERS which has already been mentioned by scooby. Unfortunately as we know is injured. The other horse is Goliath Du Berlais not sure what future plans are scooby or someone else may have more info, but this horse seems a serious beast.

I believe Goliath Du Berlais has gone to stud. It’s actually something I find an interesting difference between UK/IRE and France jumps racing. The French are happy to leave horses as entires where as we tend to geld everything as standard.

Says a lot about French Fillies.
Gone downhill since Vanessa Paradis

Hahaha

Coolmore added to their NH stallion ranks recently so they are still investing.

Had a little chat on here other week about which 3yr old 'entire' might be switched this season (re Sir Erec)
Not sure they'll give up on the plan after one sad effort.
The National Hunt sire angle would be far more profitable with a triumph & champion hurdle winner on the resume.
Suppose they need one that's suitable though and not going to chase the girls up Cleeve Hill.

Pic D’Orhy is a good example of this. Was running as an entire in France and has soon as Nicholls got his hands on him he’d lobbed his love spuds off. NH owners here are not really interested in the breeding side which is why Coolmoore are left to bringing in the right flat sires.

What was the score with Edwulf? Could he qualify for the Foxhunters?

He won an open PTP yesterday.

'Other eligibility criteria will remain unchanged (horses who have won a Class 1 or 2 chase in the 19 months before January 1, or been placed in a Grade 1 or 2 in the 15 months before, will be excluded, etc).'

Edwulf's 3rd in the Red Mills in February would appear to rule him out for 2020.

Henderson stable tour on ATR.

The comment about Chantry House going straight over fences is interesting. I’ve got him in some multiples but with the cashout option.

Have asked skybet for a price on Ok Corral anyrace and thinking of cashing out Angels Breath (365 Arkle) as looks like staying hurdleing

Well done JM
I’ve just burnt £20 arghh
Mark Howard had no inclination and neither did I !
Thought hurdles Ballymore
27/1 Any Race with Billies

It's not a definite HP, so not all is lost at this stage.

Aye with Jp havng a few for novice chases already in champ birchdale, dickie diver and Rathhill and with chantry house still being five I would be surprised if they didnt leave him over hurdles this year bar being unfortunate with injuries at the very least to build up some experience before going chasing next year.

I won't be cashing out until I see an entry
