Arkle 2020

Brewinupastorm making sure they go a strong pace on the old course. That’s the value play IMO. His times this year have been good. His form at Cheltenham is good. The race isn’t deep. Some of them unproven at Cheltenham. And the race could fall apart.

Was going through the entries and can’t see anymore than 10 runners max in this. Definitely value play is brewinupastorm, I’ve backed notebook cash back and Bapaume at big prices for not much. Can’t get enthusiastic about this race looks worse than average.... still better than last years though...

If Notebook wins the irish arkle then its curtains for everyone else surely?!
 
I dont think it is too early to be fair, between this race and the festival no one will be running a prep for the arkle surely and id very suprised at an english winner for it, so my assumption is the winner comes out of this irish arkle especially if most of em line up

What happens if he wins by a short head? Not sure that would make him a certainty in the Arkle myself.
 
I still think there is more to come from Al Dancer and Brewinupastorm. Hopefully this seasons Arkle will be more genuinely competitive than last years but I don’t think Notebook is a banker even if he wins at DRF

I'm negative on him and not sure a win at the DRF would change my opinion fully.

Notebook has done everything right so far and it wouldn’t surprise me if he did win but I think there are a few in the market who will improve and put him under pressure
