Arkle 2020

He's priced on the win at Xmas though and that form could easily be a bit flakey.

If he backs it up at DRF then I'll be proved wrong and will have to reassess.

Rational , reasonable , response ,reassess

Mister Moderator Machine :)

Alliteration always appreciated ?

I think Notebook is be the worst favourite at the festival at the moment. I have a huge question mark over that form at Christmas and I'd like to see him repeat it at DRF before I'd be tempted to back him.

What was the last horse to win an Arkle with a hurdle rating of 135 or lower? I'm guessing it would be Western Warhorse - and he was 50/1!

I agree with that

At least he isn't priced as if he's already won at the DRF though.

What prices have other ante post Arkle favs been at this stage? Last years was up in the air wasn't it.

I listened to Paul Kealy who is on the same lines as you withj Bapaume.... he said he thinks Bapaume beats Notebook easily and goes 6/4 Arkle fav after the DRF (guessing you heard that too?) Big shout!

Cash Back is half the price for the Irish arkle than Bapaume.
It's a big shout for sure.
Looks thoroughly exposed to me.
although a solid performance in the mid 150's might be good enough on the day with a bit of luck and a fair wind.

Hadn't heard that Kev - where is this at, wouldn't mind listening to it! I knew he'd put him up in the Weekender though.

Erm, was a RP podcast, but not the normal one....sounded like a "new" weekly one? I think it was 4th episode.

They referred to Upping the Ante at one point as a different show and that's clouding my memory of what it was called

I see Aramon has an entry here, has anyone heard if Willie intends sending this one chasing soon ?

Sorry I meant to say is priced up for Arkle but hasn’t jumped a fence in public and I’ve not heard chasing mentioned (but I have missed chunks of time recently)

not going chasing - been entered up in all the championship hurdle races though

Absolutely no Arkle clues tomorrow.

Boring hell.

If I was starting today, which I'm not, I'd just chance the 3 Mullins horses each way

Boring.

Couldn't agree anymore. I'd probably go NRNB on all the Mullins potentials right now. It reminds me, I need to get Cash Back in the book sharpish.

No, but the ground in UK looks horrendous, I’m not sure I’d want any decent horse of mine getting caught in a deep ground slog as a Cheltenham prep.

We all know the Arkle is heading to Ireland so all the clues come out at Dublin...

Yeah, it's not doing my Edwardstone Supreme bet much good.... Haydock is one of my closest tracks, big old straight...

Could end up looking like a Ballymore trial if anything.... but I digress, wrong thread.

Any noise or mention on Breaken? I take it he is way down the pecking order now for Willie?

Cash back wasn’t stopping at the line last time I think he’s a big player can’t wait to see him at DRF

Not heard anything but if he's not running in the next week you'd imagine they'll take a more low key route with him this season.

The Festival may not be what he needs based on his chase career so far.... needs more 'confidence' ... calmer waters... etc
