2026 Ryanair Chase

….Energumene

He’s got an entry in the two-mile chase at Leopardstown during the Dublin Racing Festival,” said Sean Graham, racing manager to owner Tony Bloom.

“If it rained all week and the ground came up soft, then there’s a chance he could run there.

“If not we would probably keep him for the Ascot Chase, which is two miles and three furlongs, or the Red Mills Chase at Gowran which is two miles and four.

“Willie is keen to step him up in trip, give him one prep run and then maybe go for the Ryanair – but for the moment everything is ground dependent and weather dependent.”
They should just retire him instead of risking him getting hurt. He's 12 and a. Shadow of former self

Not as tough a task for Grey Dawning on paper on the cotswold chase.
But assuming they all turn up then I think he'll do well to beat that lot.
Especially giving them all weight.
If Gavin runs Flooring Porter as well, this should mean a decent gallop is set.

I’ll be watch the weather, if it comes up proper soft (which it looks like) then I really fancy Stella Story here. There’s enough pace in the race to get them going too early and allowing this four stayer to eat them up - rain rain and rain please

I don’t like them running Grey in this in their are preparing him for a run at the festival

I don’t think he will stay. Especially as the ground could be soft. If they are after prize money, then yeah, got for it - but I’m not a fan of this race, it always leaves a mark and horses struggle to come back in March and run well

Maybe, he’s beaten down the hill and they mind him home and then return back to the Ryanair

I really like grey dawning for the Ryanair! But would need him to lose on Saturday, whilst not being pushed all the way out, saving something for March…

Hmmmm

Be concerned they're handicapping Stellar Story...

Be low 150s after disappointing Saturday.

Already a small field and could cut up badly mind. Might actually be hard not to run well 😂

The way his trainer was talking today theirs virtually no chance Grey Dawning runs here.
Gold cup all the way he’s saying.

Could all change I suppose if he doesn't see it out tomorrow

Sky and PP both go 33-1 Grey Dawning Ryanair.
Excellent price for anyone not already on

Sky and PP both now just 14-1.
It's like they think Dan is a liar.
Never known him to be full of shit myself 🧐

I hope the New Lion runs well for his sake as his brave face will be getting tired.

Skelton has just said Gold cup 100%.
Sounded about as confident as a used condom though.
Definitely trying to take any ‘positive ‘ excuse to still go for Gold Cup. As mentioned above Ryanair from the front looks a more suitable option for GD

Couldn't back him for anything at Cheltenham watching that today. I can easily pass him over.

Worth remembering he was kicked before the off which will have impacted on performance.

Having said that, he won't carry any of my money regardless of race
