He's probably JP's best chance in the CC with Maj jumping frailties so he'll go there especially with F2F in the Ryanair.

It’s the result I was afraid of, even though I did enjoy seeing him still able to produce a performance.
Im just hoping they will see sense (imo) and run him in the race that gives him his best chance of finally getting a festival win.
He was clearly getting outpaced and then ran on and passed a young up and coming horse that had set a fair pace.
But if they decide that puts him in the QM, then so be it.

To be honest, Jonbon looks like he's big odds on to be placed in either race, although I think he'll only be an each way price in the shorter race.
 
I'd assume it'll be champion chase for jonbon. Henderson doesnt give a toss about the ryanair and never has. Mcmanus has the likely strong fave already in fact to file. I'd say he'd rather a second dart at the champion chase as he's never won the race, and also because he'd have more faith in fact to file winning the ryanair than Majborough winning the champion chase.
 
Any thoughts on Matata in the flyr de lys tomorrow? I was taken by his runaway win over 2m4 at Cheltenham last time under top weight. Think he could have place claims I. The ryannair. Has to give the rat 4Lbs tomorrow, but he’s 11 now. 7/2 is tempting.
 
Will be very hard to get Protektorat beat tomorrow. Can't believe he receives that much weight.

I liked his last performance, think the distance Is more suited to him

Yeah that’s the conundrum, but he’s only had 1 run, I reckon he takes a while to get fit, and his age. Will see how I feel I. The morning 😂😂
 
Not as tough a task for Grey Dawning on paper on the cotswold chase.
But assuming they all turn up then I think he'll do well to beat that lot.
Especially giving them all weight.
If Gavin runs Flooring Porter as well, this should mean a decent gallop is set.
 
Ruby says, if he were Paul T, he'd be trying his hardest to get Galopin and Gaelic split up.

“If it rained all week and the ground came up soft, then there’s a chance he could run there.

“If not we would probably keep him for the Ascot Chase, which is two miles and three furlongs, or the Red Mills Chase at Gowran which is two miles and four.

“Willie is keen to step him up in trip, give him one prep run and then maybe go for the Ryanair – but for the moment everything is ground dependent and weather dependent.”
