2023 Bumper

….Did I Ask You That 25-1 (without boost) in Hills ‘win today’ market.

Sky came back to me finally and offered 16/1 to win ‘today’ and the CB.

Have to say Hills are way better than Sky at these this year…

Nice quote from Willie about DIAYT on SL:

”A nice new recruit to the yard from the Pat Doyle stable for Sean and Bernardine Mulryan. His work at home has been very nice and we’re looking forward to getting him out here. He should run a big race.”

Head miles up in the air from DIAYT

Can put a line through him I think

Unless he improves for the run and lowers that head carriage

Poure Les Filles win today n CB at 200s with the double odds boost as a slight bit of cover just incase DIAYT isn't up to scratch on Monday and with the bumper still looking very open.

Good shout in retrospect. Thought 3 furlongs or so out that Did I ask you that would absolutely hose up but just ran out of steam.

Patrick keeps riding these like it’s facile Vega under him. Seemed to kick very early

If that is the horse they like best in the Mullins yard, it would appear Gordon might have the upper hand in this cateogory. Bumper on the 29th should be interesting. I'd like to see Caldwell Potter take his chance after the disappointment of losing that Navan meeting.

Patrick rode him like a good thing. Wide the whole way then pushed the button far too early and he ran out of puff and was slightly green. Not amazing but you can see he's got talent.

Wouldn't rule DIAYT personally touched 1/10 running and looked like coule have pulled away but tired out. This year there isn't gonna be a Facile Vega so Bumper could even be open right up to the day itself. Queens Gamble still been most impressive bumper winner this season in my opinion...

Maybe one for the stupid question thread, but what difference does weight make in a bumper compared to a hurdle race? Assume it’s not a length per lb still as assume weight makes most difference when jumping? Just thinking in the context of that race where the winner was getting a stone from DIAYT

The winner got 7lb didn't he, the riders claim?

the winner had a 7lb pull and more importantly a previous run , DIAYT looked as green as grass when he had been taken to the front, i think PM thought he would have kept him going but that head went in the air , more to come from the 2nd , much more imo

Think we've already seen the winner of the race this season.

Who you thinking lobos?

I'm surprised Chapeau didn't get the declaration today for Wednesdays bumper but there's still Thursdays bumper he could go for.

Interesting that Ile Atlantique is the one chosen by Mullins for Wednesday.
