So, if we take Gavin Cromwell at face value, all Ballymore bets are off and it's all aboard the Supreme Choo Choo train??

Don't take those quotes literally.

The horse has to run again and the trainer have more thoughts about, trip, opposition, ground etc.

I would say Supreme sounds number one for now, but the Ballymore mustnt be tossed away, particularly if you have big odds with cashout with 365.

Sit in, on both races for now.

How long has Gavin Cromwell been training? Never had a Supreme runner as far as I can see? That's not to say he can't start now of course!

He probably had a Triumph winner until Espoir D'Allen got injured at the DRF Grade 1.

Then won the Champion Hurdle as a 5yo.

Something I forgot to post about My Mate Mozzie, just slipped my mind, as it doesn't always mean an awful lot but his P2P form has worked out well enough.

The 2nd, Gris Gris Top (8 lengths behind My Mate Mozzie) finished 2nd on his rules debut in a bumper for Michael Scudamore.

The 3rd, Western Flyer (who was disq. on the day, but was 14 lengths behind My Mate Mozzie) went and won his next P2P fairly comfortably.

The only faller in the race, Nickle Back (who was disputing the lead 2 out before falling) has run twice over hurdles, the first behind Cadzand (who had plenty of experience at the time of the run) of Dan Skelton, by just 1 1/4 lengths, before absolutely hosing up at Fontwell by 30 lengths, and is rated 136 after just them two hurdles runs.

One thing that hadn't passed me by either which would be of slight concern, was that My Mate Mozzie was sold out of Mag Mullins yard, which would seem rather strange that he wasn't snapped up by Willie if they thought he was going to be a bit good, so this had crossed my mind, possible it's just one he's missed though.

Neon wolf was also in the care of mags mullins at one point and they let him go. I agree its a slight negative but they have missed one in the past, and probably more that I dont know about

Yeah I'd definitely like to see him take a small jump up in grade first for a bit more experience.

Having just watched the race again, god he was impressive wasn't he? Foot perfect all the way round and when Sean pushed him into one he absolutely flew it.

They may take one in, if the ground suits next month, if not aim for Christmas at Leopardstown and keep their fingers crossed on the ground.

Its been Soft or Heavy at the Christmas Grade 1 in 7 of the last 10 years. Good/Yielding or Yielding the other 3 years.

If he were mine, and he truly liked better ground, then I would get another run into him in the next four for five weeks, to get his experience up, just in case it became too soft in December (which is odds-on historically)

we love those sound bites this time of the year though even if they are covered in glitter!! I accept Henderson does love his horses but when he really builds them up there does tend to be some substance to his proclamations. I backed IAM early and haven’t backed him since May but he was a horse I was really excited to see on his seasonal debut, I do think he’s something special

I think Hendo is losing the plot but he’s brilliant at this sport even if he is becoming more erotogenetic with age!!

He’s ran two in the supreme a few times and it’s a statement race for him, to win the opening race and grab the headlines so it’s very possible he will run Jonbon and I Am Maximus in the opener if they progress as expected.

Agreed, hopefully we’ll see him I Am Maximus soon and he’s as good as we all hope
