I think he will go to the Ladbrokes/Hennessy.

Horses that win or place in that are usually Ultima and Grand National horses, these days.

Willie wouldn't run it in the Ultima, I'd be pretty sure of that.
NH chase or Gold Cup. If he takes in Cheltenham.
And most likely NH chase cos he's a novice, and Willie would likely go this way.

It’s definite that Willie won’t go to the Ultima with OTR, British horses often go that route, that was my point ( tough poorly expressed).:encouragement:

OTR should take the NHC route, it’s not often that novices run in the Ladbroke/Hennessy so normal rules of Grand National types, may not apply.

However it’s his third season chasing, so it’s not impossible that he gets an Aintree entry (the weights come out before Cheltenham so any run at the Fez wouldn’t affect a National bid if they wanted to have one) - Similar to second season Novice - Run Wild Fred, and would now be similarly weighted, in Ireland at least, around 146.

who rides?

Who will Jack ride? Assuming Envoi and Indo make it?

Davy - Envoi?
Jack - Indo?
Rachael - A Plus ?

If horses and jockeys all turned up fit, I'd imagine this would be the way it would pan out

Davy has only come back for one horse........Envoi. Gold Cup winners 2022.

Who rides Galvin if he turns up here and the others are on the above which is most likely

Has to be Davy's mount in the GN surely. Especially after the rides he's given Tiger around Aintree.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Tiger Roll turn up at Aintree with Davy on board.

That could be yet another reason why Gordon would be happy to let Galvin take his chance in the GC.

Id say zero chance to that Norton's. My opinion of course.

Galvin declared on Wednesday at Punchestown in the 3m G3

Will be interesting who will ride at Down Royal. Hope Davy will be on him personally

It does look a very good opportunity and fairly easy start.

Not easy, I think they could've found him a spot to lose.

Brahma Bull OR 157
getting 8lb
Fit from strong run in close 2nd in Kerry National off 154 last month.

Annamix OR 152
getting 8lb
Fit from strong run in close third in Kerry National last month.

If Brahma Bull ran to form of a 157 horse, finishing second, receiving 8lbs, Galvin would have had to put up a 165+ official rating first time out against fit horses.

If Galvin could do that, he will be 16/1 for the Gold Cup on Wednesday teatime.

Brahma Bull and Annamix could flop of course, then the race wouldnt take much winning.

Yeah, Galvin is probably one win off abandoning the National plan.
I’d be delighted if he popped round beaten about 15l without being given a hard time…

Galvin is definitely one win off a National plan going in the bin, I would suggest, if that win put him up to 160+.

Win and GC.....lose and GN. I'll take either but would prefer the latter

To be fair it’s a great opportunity to press, if he jumps 2 out 10l off leader and not trying everyone should be smashing the 25s for the National, if he looks a trier and goes past the field approaching the last hit the Gold Cup button
