2016 Supreme Novices

I'm pretty sure Douvan was fairly keen in the supreme last year and did alright. Mins french form is irrelevant, He was bought from a trainer Harold Kirk trusts and who Rich ricci said does not go hard on his horses early on.

Min for supreme for me with a yorkhill saver!

"I think it's fairly obvious at this stage that we'll take everyone on," said Gigginstown's Eddie O'Leary. "Min was impressive on Saturday, no doubt, but at the moment Tombstone is our intended horse for the Supreme and we'll find our own level with him."

"A lot of judges thought we should have won the Future Champions Novice Hurdle but things just didn't happen for him and he's a horse we think plenty of," he said.

"He was a little keen the last day so we'll stick a hood on for the Deloitte at Leopardstown [on February 6] and see how he gets on."

O'Leary added: "I wouldn't like to forget Petit Mouchoir either. He finished just behind Tombstone when they were second and third behind Long Dog at Christmas and both of our horses were having only their second run. And Disko is a very talented horse who remains in the mix too."

robbie mcnamara on the final furlong podcast said he was talking to willie the other day about Min and asked him if he was as good as all the hype and talk about him, willie said hes better! :0

De Bromhead is well-placed to assess the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle as his Attribution was second to hot-favourite Min at Punchestown last Saturday, but he is hopeful Supasundae can make up into a serious contender at Cheltenham.

He said: "We know our fellow runs well on good ground as he showed when he ran well in the Champion Bumper last season.

"Min was very impressive, very good. We don't know if he goes on good ground and he was a bit keen, but he did look very good."

Can anyone remember seeing these odds this high? I can't!

What amazes me is that anyone can get more than a fiver on, £300 e/w would get queried and referred to every senior trader in any organisation, if you're a big lifetime loser they may let you have £50 at 50s and the rest at a shorter price but to get the lot at 50s really surprises me.
Bookies don't want punters having those bets anymore, the independents have all disappeared and they all work to small margins and/or rely on shop machines and online casinos for profit....

Your spot on there Ista. I am able to get 300 e/w on horses but never tried on anyting bigger than 20/1 etc.

I remember looking at the 2016 Supreme odds last year the day of the Fest and never remember Min being 50/1.

Never saw min at 100-1. Know he was 50s but didnt even see that just the 25s. Maybe he asked for this and got quoted 100-1 before they put it on their site? who knows.

I'm fortunate in that I have a very good relationship with my spread bookies and they offer a fixed odds service where they match the best price of Corals, Lads and Hills, and I can get on whatever I want.
Over the years I've had just about every main bookie account and every one of them either close you down or limit your bets, if you bet more than £50 you have to use exchanges these days, bookies only want self destructing addicts pressing roulette buttons....

If he placed the bet before 2015 Supreme went off it should have read 2016 Supreme Novice Hurdle.

Possibly, but even so as soon as you say I'll have £300 e/w they will retract that offer, it's been 15+ years since bookies took that level of risk, there are a few on course bookies who will stand a decent bet at the big meetings but that's it.
Bookies bemoan the exchanges but their business model forces punters to use them...

You're not wrong there Isty, I sometimes spread a bet over several online then go into a couple of shops if I can't get to the track, if they don't feel they can make from you customer relations go out the window

I meant after the 2015 supreme but before he was priced up online. IE requesting a price, got 100-1.

You have to Mr M if you want to keep accounts.
I know people who deliberately thrown in a mug football bet that's guaranteed to lose just to prolong their account activity, others have set up accounts in wife, girlfriend, (both !) neighbours names, it's hard work, exchanges dominate and will eventually monopolise.
Just go on course, half a dozen bookies taking 2 or 3 bets each for each race, costs them money to be there and the majority are now doing it for a hobby because they know they can't turn a profit....

£30ew he's got hasn't he? He must have had some inside info, he should post when he put it on aswell

That is on the 100/1 bet paz. The other shows £300 e/w at 50/1 lol. Tbh, I find them both hard to believe.
