2027 The Prices on Offer

Doctor Steinberg could stay over hurdles, anything been mentioned on this?

Think he’s seen as a 3miler eggs.
They saw him as a 2m before the supreme and he was up with the pace for a while. Definitely want to see him straight over fences for me. One of those that'll have multiple targets.

I would agree though Browns looks optimal placement.

I think he said post race that he'll go chasing, or at least hinted at it, but I'm not 100% sure.

I wouldnt take much notice of that though myself, could all change very easily once they actually properly think about it. Said today that kabral will go chasing too. New lion probably not going to win a champion hurdle, so maybe chasing for him too, or stayers.

You'd imagine he's going to aim something at the champion given it doesnt look the strongest division.
For the reasons you give I think it's a very strange choice, particularly to make it so early. Top three in the Supreme, and none seemingly interested in what could be another weak Champion Hurdle. It would have made far more sense to take in a 'trial' and then decide a plan. Imagine if he bolted up in a Fighting Fifth? All that said, and I know he eventually changed his mind about Kabral Du Mathan, I don't get the impression that Skelton is someone who finds it easy to change his mind. I think the price for the Arkle is even worse than it was for the Supreme. Had he targeted the Champion Hurdle it wouldn't have surprised had he been near enough favourite for that as well.

Stable tour comments, chasing always the plan.

"Physically, this horse is a strong horse and a different type to The New Lion - he is slightly smaller and more furnished - this horse you can see screams as being a bit of a chaser and I have already alluded to him being an Arkle horse next year."

Hadn’t looked at 2027 prices as unsure of my approach for next season but just had a quick scan and these were ones that caught my eye:

Arkle
Mighty Park 33
Leader D’Allier 40

Churdle
Mydaddypaddy 33

BANC
Bossman Jack 33
No Drama This End 33

Ryanair
Romeo Coolio 25

Stayers
New Lion 40

True, but a champion bumper horse also who, imo, are better when upped in trip.

Aye think fences will be where we see the best from him.

I don't know, smaller doesn't shout chaser to me. His two biggest assets look to be speed and jumping (hurdles), and that shouts Champion Hurdle, but as I said, he doesn't change his mind. He could have another year hurdling and then go chasing. Harder doing it the other way.

I read that as Skelton referring to The New Lion as smaller !

Yeah mate he was asked about maj in the CC
Awesome. Thanks. I'll try and find the interview later, but will take 12/1 about him with cash out for now.

Maybe f2f will be going GC so potential double there . Not looked at the gc prices for 27 yet

Maj can't jump but agree Ryanair would be target.

King Rasko 20/1 flutter is a standout for me after the Albert Bartlett result.

I know Willie name dropped the CH but that’s unlikely imo

Kabral Du Mathan looks value to me at 16s. Looked the winner all over yesterday but clearly didnt get home, even on good ground. Pointless perservering with 3miles. Kabral Champion, New Lion stayers double?

I'm actually considering The New Lions as a decent bet at 25/1(e/w possibly). Will only be 8 and I thought he stayed on well into 3rd, could see Brighterdaysahead not turning up next year (breeding?). Doesn't look like much will come from the novices either.

Completely against that I've done El Cairos e/w at 66/1
