Thanks @Eggs, like many others I've had a initial look at the markets and value is hard to see at the moment. A few special doubles placed for this year and next is always a good 'in'.

I've backed one so far at this stage, William Munny for the Champion Hurdle, can get 25s. Barry's come out and said spin at Punchestown and then target will be this next season. I've always liked this horse and it's the first one I've chanced at this early stage.

OPS for the arkle maybe? You just know if he wins the supreme he’ll go 3’s or less

My god the prices seem to get worse ever year. I like Old Park Star for the Arkle but 6/1 is just too short. Romeo Coolio 5s for the Ryanair is a proper piss take.

Those Ryanair prices are absolute filth.
Have to say there's one or two in the Champion Hurdle market that have some appeal, State Man will need to prove his wellbeing but 25/1 isn't horrific....

I honestly think that’s why I’m starting later and later each year for antepost

I normally do a few then wait, started very late this year. Waiting gives your more information, sometimes a better angle.

A few mentioned OPS arkle, worth playing the special double imo.

Lulamba Ryanair?
Kawaboomga Brown's?

Isn't it mad how short Mighty Park is.

The only price I have nibbled so far was the 16/1 for OPS to win the Supreme and Arkle. Looks an obvious case to go chasing next year and has a great chance in the Supreme.

I may well have a go at the 33/1 Sober Glory for the Arkle also. Think he will be some chaser next season. Another Arkle dart but 20/1 BDA is massive if she was to win the Champ Hurdle this year. Surprised she isn't priced up for the BANC. The Champion Hurdle market looks open to a superstar to come in. Obvious one would be El Cairos but happy to wait till after Cheltenham as don't think he wins there. Would be a lot of faith to stick with William Munny but can see the reasoning. Could Bambino Fever be the one to step in here, or equally, could she be the one that pushes Lossiemouth into the Champion Hurdle 'finally'? No harm getting on early the Lossiemouth CH/Bambino Fever MH related double and vice versa probably!

Finally Old School Outlaw at 12/1 compared to the 6/1 Bambino Fever seems a reasonably big price differential. Don't know much about what they think for the future with her? I would be looking for a WTAF double with the Mares Novice/Mares instead at a bigger price.

I get the angle for this in trying to get some value if he wins, but personally I am cautious for OPS definitely targeting the Arkle, particularly with victory.

A couple of weeks ago Henderson waxed lyrical on how Act of Innocence is going to be a novice chaser to follow. He also said that AOI had lots of pace so I doubt he would step up in distance. Would the same owner / trainer target them both at the Arkle?

It also looks like next year Henderson might not have a top Champion Hurdler in the yard, if he wins the Supreme could he keep him over hurdles?

He's already fav for the Arkle so not really suggesting something out of the blue. Yes, he may well stay over hurdles though wouldn't be convinced it will be based around what Act Of Innocence does. Problem is if he proves far too good in the Supreme (Ala Con Hill) and so points to sticking over hurdles. All his other winners this century went chasing. Also, majority of Supreme winners in last 15 years went Chasing in next season. Appreciate It was an exception as he missed most of the season and returned straight into a Champion Hurdle, though soon went chasing the following season. I think he wins the Supreme, in which case the 16/1 will look good over the summer at least...

I'd say if you like OPS you just back for both 12s and 20s available at time of writing. Supreme/Arkle Supreme/Champion Hurdle.
Worth mentioning it's prices on offer now that were debating.

Jasmin De Vaux 25s for the stayers hurdle isnt the worse bet. Always the fear they will go chasing but I don't think he has the frame for taking fences.

Yeah good shout, one to keep a eye on. Honesty policy could give him a form boost at the festival as well.

After doing him this year with no run not sure he is a safe vehicle for my money more than a year out!

Would you not want to see him back before backing him ?
He's one horse whose price won't change between now and the Autumn and even then only if one of the early stable tours gives positive mentions and the Stayers as a target especially as has been said they might consider chasing....

Agree with you 100%

However, it's long odds on he appears in my 2027 diary pre August
