2026 Novice Hurdlers

That was my initial reaction too, on what I've seen he's that slow he couldn't get out of his own way..

They Call Me Hugo was being aimed at the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, but he too will not be making the trip to Prestbury Park.

“Hopefully we’ll have eight or 10 runners. I thought my best two chances were Indeevar Blue and They Call Me Hugo and unfortunately they’re both out,” said Murphy.

I think Mighty Park is his only decent novice hurdler, so I'd say not, but I'll go out on a limb and say he would prefer a Supreme runner than a Turners runner. He's not guaranteed to win either.

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer him in the Turners, but basing it on what Willie has for the Supreme is not the answer to where he may end up, IMO.
He was very keen on Leader as well so I can see him as his Supreme number1. OPS does look very good so maybe he won't waste too many decent bullets in the opener. JP's not stupid either. He'll get all the info he needs from Nicky which will help him to decide where he goes.

TTT

"There hasn't been any change in the situation with Talk The Talk," O'Brien said on Monday. "Both options are open, but at the moment the Supreme remains the more likely one. He'll be left in both races and we'll discuss it internally with Simon, Isaac and the team."

365 can get 8s ante now for turners. Mighty Park
He's way shorter than that on betfair so could get a free arb

*sorry he isn't, didn't realise there was only £1 waiting!🤣

Sober Glory will run on the first day in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. He won all his race except the one where he got beaten at Sandown so, hopefully, he has a good chance of being in the first four. He doesn’t have to front run, and we will see how the races goes. He is better with a lot of pace, so I don’t expect him to be in front. (Philip Hobbs & Johnson White)

Any update on Mange Tout? Big price on BFX, out of Cheltenham?

Who do we think wins this years supreme? I’ve backed Old Park Star but for some reason this last week I’m starting to doubt myself over it

I'd be seriously worried as an OPS backer if mighty park turned up in the Supreme.

Been said many times but they should do away with the turners.
Too much fucking about for us lot.
Be miles better with just the 2 options.
Make the pipe a novice handicap hurdle, job done.

Can I ask everyone that likes Mighty Park, what is it you like?

I mean everything about the horse is about as far away from what most of us would back for a novice race at Cheltenham.

1 run.
No graded form.
Don’t know what race he’s going for.

Is it literally just the hype that everyone is jumping onboard with?

His debut was good but it wasn’t even a race was it, nothing even wanted to try and get close to him. There is zero evidence other than WPM comparing him to Faugheen for him to be second fav and fab for the 2 novice races.

You forgot that he looks like a chaser.
I agree with you, I'd normally trust yard vibes but this year I'm not so sure.

I'm not, albeit have Mighty Park covered for the Supreme also, but I think OPS will still beat him.

I'm not having maiden form over what OPS has achieved to date.
